That would mean something in a sport where you can’t overhaul a roster as quickly.

He’s still #2 for me. But I am Not going to pretend it is 1 MJ 2 LBJ and then a huge gap before everyone else.

Why?

Peoples hatred or love for LBJ is probably one of the strangest things on this board. He is one of the best players ever, but he is better than others because this is a generation where guys change teams more often?

It would be nice if people could just appreciate players for their greatness and that be enough.

Who determined this? It's an impressive accomplishment no doubt but lots of accomplishments are impressive, given the current massive amount of player movement per free agency, the perception of that accomplishment might be skewed

Seems like sustained success would be harder than the buy a title approach. But that’s just me.

MJ >>>> Lebron

Thats kinda the point here. Every team he has been a part of sucks before he gets there, and sucks when he leaves, yet wins titles when he is there. The dude is the most sure thing in sports history

Why because he couldn't have the Cleveland franchise built around him to win more than 1? Instead has to buy them by switching teams. The real goat had 2 separate teams with the same franchise built around him and won 3 straight twice and would have 8 without retiring in his peak. And btw has 6 mvps and built the brand, and owns a portion of, that gives LeBron his platform. Lebron essentially works for the goat. Say his name, Micheal Jordan
