If you don't think he's top 10 all time, you're foolish.

He's the best big man of his generation. Shaq was more dominant for a short period, but not near as consistent. He's the greatest power forward of all time, and Simmons and others are far from overrating him at #6 all time.

He has more Finals MVPs than Kobe, and was the best player on all of his championship winning teams.

He's just a boring, uninteresting guy, with a boring, uninteresting basketball game, on a boring, uninteresting team.

I think he is certainly top 10, provided he gets another ring this year. If not, top 15 for sure.

I think Bird is probably top 5.

Bird is 5-10 IMO. MJ, Wilt, Kareem, Russell, and Magic are ahead of him. Maybe even Big O.

I'd take Shaq over Duncan simply because Shaq was the most dominant offensive player in basketball. I think Duncan is the better defensive player, though.

It's amazing how even they have been from a stats and wins standpoint in the regular season and the playoffs. Seems like they've gotten the better of each other an equal amount of times during their playoff primes.

Duncan just tied Shaq for 3rd of all-time blocks, fwiw.

That was for playoff blocks. Shaq and Duncan are obviously going to have a great number of playoff blocks than Mutumbo and Hakeem, with their longevity.

Shaq averaged a double double in 13 seasons same as Duncan. Shaqs career FG% of 58% is higher than duncans season high of 54%. Unfortunately Shaq stuck around 2-3 seasons too long so everyones last memories of him as a player are him as a shell of his former self.

Shaq also rarely shot anything that wasnt a dunk or shot from a foot away from the rim. Duncan scores a lot of his points on lower-percentage jump shots, so his shot percentage will be lower

For sure. I just looked up the all-time season high, and Wilt Chamberlain has a fricking .727 percentage in 1972-73

Tim Duncan is to power forwards, what Mariano Rivera is to relief pitching and what Jerry Rice is to receivers. The undisputed best and its not close.

- Garnett

- McHale

- Pettit

- Elvin Hayes...

Therefore, i wouldn't be so quick to say "no shite"

The only guys you could think of taking over Duncan are Garnett and Barkley.

Duncan carried 2 teams to titles. Neither Barkley or Garnett did that. Someone said a weak league and that's fair but look at the roster for his first 2 title teams. It is a wasteland.

Timmy is the starting 4 on my all time team

Magic
Jordan
Bird
Duncan
Russell
