Oakland also just 2 up on Seattle, 1.5 on the central teams. Would be an epic collapse after the Lester trade when everyone penciled them into the WS.

KC needs to get it together. Looking for and more like the Tigers will take the Central again.

Royals and Tigers now tied in the loss column. Cards only 2 up on the Pirates in the loss column. Seattle 2 back in the wild card.

Don't the Royals have a suspended game to finish where they are losing by 2 in the bottom of 10th inning?

I don't think anyone wants Seattle in a one-game playoff if Hernandez is available.

i didnt realize it was in the 10th inning. i thought it was only the 7th or so.

Royals and Tigers kick off tonight. As well brewers/pirates. Brewers almost need a road sweep if they want to entertain postseason baseball. They just lost 2 games on the pirates in this past series.

royals will choke on it for the division,

the tigers have spanked them all season, i think they're like 11-5 in the last 16

The A's are just a shell of themselves now. Getting swept by the Rangers when you're in a pennant race. Good grief.

man, two years in a row w/ the Pirates and Royals on the right side of .500.

I sure hope the bucs can catch St Louis (or rather, the Cards fall back to the Bucs) because going out to SF for the wild card game will be a tall order.

Let's go Bucs!

the cards lead feels very tenuous to say the least.

Oakland proving whey you don't mess with success. Should have never traded an important player in their lineup for Lester. Should have only given up prospects. They were stupid for messing with this year's team.

Brewers lose 2 of 3 to the pirates and are now 4.5 back. They're pretty much toast. Cards clinched at least a playoff spot.

There is a chance that the only teams with a winning record in the NL are the playoff teams.

HUGE 4 game series between the Inidans/Royals. The Tribe is only 3.5 back in the wildcard race. The first game of this series is a game that is being finished from a previous weather delay. The Indians lead 4-2 in the bottom of the 9th. So essentially the Tribe is 3 games back. If the Tribe can win 2/3 or sweep the Royals, the Indians could be tied for the final playoff spot. GO TRIBE!!!

i think its in the 10th but regardless.

And they would have to sweep the next 3 (all 4) to move ahead of the royals. 2/3 in the 3 full games wont do it.

There was a lot of Pirate anxiety in that series....

Even w/ the Giants!

Indians have to take the next 2 or it's probably curtains for them. At this point I'd say the Brewers are done.
