Brightside used to make all the nike balls because nike didn't have their own factory.

I was always told that epon and Muria make about 1/2 of the tour pro clubs. And they just stamp Nike or whatever on them. Also the wedges tour players use are custom grinds that if you find them on eBay the will be like K or E grinds and will run for about 500 a piece.
Also while you are pricing the cost of wedges check out the shafts they use, a 300 dollar white board is child's play some of them will run $2,000.
Www.tourspecgolf.com and you can find forged drivers. And pay 3,000 for them also.

I played with a 75 year old husband and wife today and the face on the woman's driver said forged. Didn't think anything about it, and doubt that it was even close to this, but 3k for a driver is nuts.

Pretty sure that's not true

All the driver shafts (diamanas, aldilas, graphite design) are childs play because they get them free. As far as the driver heads go, I've never heard 3k. Mostly tour issue heads hotmelted to a players specs.

A specced out tour issue driver with a great shaft will run you about $1,500 .... There are some Japan heads that can run up to $10,000

Maruman driver - 5,040
Epon Forged zero driver - 1800
Taylormade Japan Gloire driver - 979 (just to show you that even taylormade makes high end products you don't know about)
There are many driver and driver companies out their that have 1,500 drivers just because you have never seen one, probably like you have never seen a par before don't say they don't exist. When the Miura and tiger deal came out Nike actually said they used epon.
Also mizunio makes a lot of your player irons.
bottom line don't question me on equient.

Right, but not 3k.

Yep and it's some of the sickest stuff out there. I remember seeing some Callaway Japan release blades that were amazing. Sad they'll never see domestic release.

Right but name 1 tour player that uses that shite. It's all Japan release.

Again, I'm pretty sure you're wrong on the miura/epon forging for Nike deal but whatever. You're an "expert" on "equient".

Most of the major companies outsource production of their forged clubs to epon, mizunio, and Miura. Even the big players. Because as a market it is so small they can not make a profit with their on facilities.

Another fun fact: I dk if it's still true but Tiger used to play a Bridgestone ball with a Nike logo on it. Nike had to pay Bridgestone a shite load for that I'm sure, but that chip they turned into a Nike commercial was with a Bridgestone.
At least that's what I've been told

Added to this: I know for a FACT he had Mizuno irons with Nike emblem on them. At least when Nike first came onto the scene with irons.

Yes, they are forged overseas, in the same factories that make the japanese clubs. Which is why smaller companies have issues getting heads made

Nike didn't have the resources yet to even make golf equipment. They wanted Tiger playing equipment with the swoosh on them, so they payed other people to make their stuff
