Major doubt for the Masters?
Dude isn’t playing golf for at least 7 months after Achilles surgery. He’s out.

He needed to retire after the car wreck. He takes the spotlight away from golfers who are much better than him.

he's earned the right to play as long as he wants to.
it's not his fault the networks wanna follow him even when he isn't contending on the weekend of a major.

I ruptured my Achilles two years ago. Assuming it's a complete tear, he isn't walking at all for six weeks.
I tore mine in November and played golf in late March, but that was with a cart. Even the limited walking was uncomfortable, and my foot was swollen by the end of the first few rounds.
Augusta is an incredibly hilly course. 0.0% chance he is playing.

If you rupture your Achilles playing golf, you're not longer an athlete

That doesn’t mean he should keep playing when he’s out there struggling as much as he has.

I saw Tiger at his daughter’s soccer match a few weeks ago. The guy looks more athletic than 100% of this board. He likely has some help but he’s probably in better shape than he was at 28.
Thing is he was probably doing a bunch of crazy training that had nothing to do with golf while “ramping up.”

He’s gonna be like all the other senior golfers who play majors with their exemptions until 65… and we’ll shamelessly watch and root for him… Jack was in contention for the Masters at 58, and Greg Norman and Tom Watson almost won the British when they were old. Hell Phil is the oldest major champion ever

It makes no sense for a golfer to have similar injuries to football players and soccer players unless his body is completely breaking down from long-term PED use.
Having back problems is very common in golf, it has been many professional golfer's downfall (see Fred Couples). He messed up his knee in 2008 stupidly doing the navy seals stuff, not from playing golf. His recent leg injury is from a car wreck, not playing golf. I'm sure his achilles injury is probably due to him overdoing it working out with all his other injuries. Tiger has always worked out more like a football player than a golfer. Athletes get hurt all the time in practice/working out, probably just as much if not more than during games. His ankle is literally fused to his leg. His back bones are fused together. Having that and then working out and pushing himself like he does is just opening the door for more injuries.

Tom Watson was a bad bounce from winning the British Open at 59, Tiger has time.

Steven A made comments about Tiger in 2018. He didn’t respond. He just won at Eastlake, then the Masters.
