VJ has for sure. He hated the course - and made it known
what are the problems with the course? And, can they be corrected or is it simply a geography/weather issue that comes with the area?

If it is not in the top ten, money wise, it is very close.
i think it is but still doesn't make it top tier. no history or prestige behind it like the western, nissan, memorial, colonial, etc.

It just plain sucks. There is no rough, the treeline is on the fairways for the most part. Each hole pretty much looks the same. There is no scenery. The course is not around anything. There is no fan space. The stands look like they tried to fit a square in a circle hole. Thats about it maybe.

If the tournament isn't that great, fine. I can live with that. But its good enough for guys like Phil and VJ to play occasionally
all i said was that other top golfers are playing it. Take whatever conclusion you want from that.
i dont know the first thing about the tournament. I could care less.
quit being so fricking miserable, not everyone wants to argue with you

so what, if any, things could be realistically improved on to make it more attractive. They obviously pay a nice purse in an attempt to offset other issues, but what else could be done?

The first year it was played at the TPC, Singh bitched a lot about the course. He had some reasons, but the course was just plain hard. No player scored very well and they were accustomed to shooting -25 for the week at The Turn. I believe he even said something like, "This course is no English Turn." Since then, he did not return and they seem to have eased up on the course a bit, the scoring has been much lower years past. I don't think Phil has come since the change over.
Anybody know if there is truth to the talk of a Championship course being built in City Park and the PGA event going there?
