They made it to the 1 yes. But they should have never crossed the goal line. Making it to the 1 doesn't mean anything. There are no points for that. Iowa State made a play, and it was taken away by incompetence.

Iowa state did beat their opponent, and the refs were a factor. The penalties would have been moot had the correct call been made.

Iowa State took the ball from Texas. Game over. Internally, they should be pissed for letting it get to that point. But the refs are to blame for the final result. That shouldn't happen.

Same refs that awarded Texas those penalty yards denied ISU their call. No one can dispute that so quit trying.

Iowa State made a LOT of mistakes. A ton, particularly when it came to penalties.
And in spite of that, they still would've won were it not for referee incompetence.

That deliberate cheapshot from Mike Davis on the kickoff was absolutely pathetic.
If Texas doesn't at least suspend him for that, I can't bring myself to root for them ever again.
