Gold is at an all time high so good sign for Denver? Or 4 games of playing time in just shy of a month for OKC starters plus deeper bench gives them edge? Game will feature 2 prior MVP’s and likely a 3rd new one. Russ first playoff game at Paycom since 2019 with Thunder.

Should actually be a good series. NBA did Denver dirty with schedule though. They will play every other day thru first 4 games (Mon/Wed @ OKC then Fri/Sun @ Den).

OKC going with blackouts in game one

Fans shirt:

And Russ has played a big role at Denver winning:

Russell Westbrook's 2025 playoff stats with the Denver Nuggets (6 games):
- 13.5 PPG
- 5.67 RPG
- 3.0 APG
- 42.6% FG
- 41.9% 3PT (13/31)
- 71.4% FT
His 41.9% 3PT shooting surpasses Steph Curry (39.1%), Kawhi Leonard (39.4%), Jayson Tatum (36.4%), Anthony Edwards (33.3%), and Jalen Brunson (37.5%).

Regardless of all the random poster shite talk I expect this to be a good series. It will not end in 4 thats for sure.

The Thunder are -9.5 favs for Game 1 against the Nuggets, per BetMGM

OKC in 4 or 5 games. Nuggets don’t have depth and the schedule is brutal.

With a schedule where the Nuggets weren’t playing every other day against the Clippers straight into every other day against the Thunder it could’ve been somewhat interesting.

Well the lakers are out now so they’ll cut down on the three day breaks

Trying to figure out if Russ gets warm welcome. My guess he gets a decent ovation first time he checks in but nothing after that until series is over.

Fans love him here and understand he will try his hardest to beat us as well. The one player who will give you 100% effort no matter how far up or down you are.

It is. But they are 72-14 and at home. They broke many scoring records this year. Bookies trying to figure out how to get action on both sides have been setting most of their game spreads high this season.

Thunder in 5. Wasn’t impressed with the Nuggets in the first round, seven games to beat an ok Clippers team and needed multiple miracles to do it.

@joe_mussatto

Since 2000, there have been 15 series in which a team coming off a sweep faced a team in the next round that had just played a seven-game series.

The rested team is 14-1:

John Goble, Josh Tiven, Karl Lane and Brent Barnaky are the referees for tonight's Nuggets vs. Thunder Game 1

And 9 days off who drums up schedules? They should know which teams have highest chance of 4 or 5 games in round 1 and space them out more. Expect some rust from both teams tonight.

Not expecting much out of my Nuggets this week, so anything good will just be gravy on the season.

With how things have been going the last 3-4 weeks, we were lucky to not be in a play-in-game. As such, I'll take what we can get and be hopeful for next season.

Denver has the best player.

However, Thunder should win it easy. They have the better/deeper team.
