All the talk about Denver having home court is pretty odd considering road teams were undefeated before the Nuggets lost tonight. It’s not like Denver will automatically win just because they’re at home.

All the pressure is on OKC still, Denver winning game 1 makes it a home series for them.

They have 3 out of 5 games at home and need to win 3. The emphasis has shifted to OKC to win away from home.

I think they will do it, but this thread is a haven for warped realities.

I don’t think OKC is feeling much pressure, they’ve clearly been the better team in both games. Denver stealing one doesn’t mean much for the complexion of the series.

Just look at the betting line for example, even after OKC lost on Monday they were still 11 point favorites last night. They’ll be the favorites in all the remaining games, just have to play their normal game and not get cute. Pressure is off after last night.

I expect Denver to receive a more favorable whistle in game 3 & 4.

However, if Denver cannot rekindle the massive rebound advantage they produced in game 1, they are in trouble.

I guess “The Extender” is needed elsewhere.

Great game, back and forth. There were 7 possessions in a row each team scored.

40-39 OKC timeout on the floor

In. Denver's not even supposed to even be in this series yet .... they're making it a little interesting.

Yeah, it's Friday night. Got some Wild Turkey and enjoying it. I do like this OKC team, I can't lie. They play together and they're all business. You don't see that from most teams in the playoffs right now

Mark Jones has to be the corniest announcer in sports.

"That shot is WET"

"He's cookin with fish grease!"

Got me some 1800 Blanco to tide me over tonight. Yes, I’ve watched them all year and they really do play together. SGA honestly doesn’t care about awards and he dishes off a lot of times I think he should shoot. But the games look like everyone is involved and then I see the final tally and SGA will be in low 30’s and I didn’t seem to recall him making that many. It just kind if happens within the game flow of team which makes it unique.

They play defense too which I like.

56-51 half

OKC has more FGs 23-16, thats a lot. Of those Den has made 7 to 4 threes.

FTs are
Den 12-16
OKC 6-10 (6 points of diff)

OKC leads rebounds 29-20.

Good game.

Jokic has 5 turnovers and no other player on either team has more than 1. Making life hard on him

Nikola Jokic had 4 games out of 70 this season where he did not have more assists than turnovers.

In each of the 3 games of this series, he has not had more assists than turnovers.

“If you don’t like Okc then you don’t like basketball. This team doesn’t complain, they play agenda free basketball, they get scrappy defensively.”
