The Lakers could get every single call this series and it will not matter. They don’t have the quickness or strength to match OKC. Their entire defensive game plan is double SGA and give up wide open 3s. You can’t win like that. And it’s the only game plan they have bc if they try to man up OKC will fly by them. Lebron/Reaves/Kennard can’t guard anyone.
Make no mistake the Thunder aren’t playing great. But they simply have too many good players for this Lakers team. Only team capable of beating the Thunder is the Spurs.
Thunder/Wolves/Spurs would all sweep the Lakers

Had that feel when I went to a game. I don’t believe they played 1 rap song the entire game.
Everything was 70s/80s rock
I know they were notorious for attempting to make the environment/culture similar to San Antonio but had some interesting vibes.
Had a good time even tho that was some dog years…

Yes I’m an OKC Thunder fan. Yes each game is rigged in our favor. No there is nothing you can do about it. Yes Shai tries to trick the refs each possession (but somehow is shooting 54% while doing it). Yes Lu Dort is trying to injure the opposing team. Yes our coach is trying to teach the rest of the team to injure the opposing team as well. Yes I attend the games because I have nothing better to do in Oklahoma. Yes I was brought up in the Oklahoma education system so this all makes perfect sense. Yes a few houses have internet. Any other questions, don’t care.
Seems like you finally get it. Embrace it.

Regardless anyones ref sentiment there is such a difference in reffing crews.
Tue game had 25 FTs
Thu game had 47 FTs
Thats a huge difference between same teams one game after another.
I think tonight they didn’t call much early except SGA got 4 fouls in 1st half and the game got away from them. Then they went hard on fouls trying to regain control but it was too late.
The biggest head scratcher is flagrant on SGA when Reaves mugged him and then later no flagrant on LA in similar situation. I felt neither should be and thats the issue they don’t call games consistently. LA has 20 turnovers and that caused a lot of fouls on them trying to stop fast breaks. But overall this game was called bad for both teams.
Game 3 on Sat. I think Mark will come up with a better counter to the SGA doubles.
And lastly, that trade for McCain (Philly is not even getting a top 20 pick) was another gem by Presti. Look at his playoff stats
Jared McCain in 2 games against the Lakers:
15 PPG
61% FG
80% 3P
And Philly couldn’t find minutes for him yet a loaded Thunder team finds him an important role. Same as Caruso/IHart trade last year.

That straight 0 statline except for points is sending me. You have to love a guy who knows what he's there to do and does it

What bothers people about the way the refs handle OKC is their enforcers Caruso, Williams, and Dort dont get fouls called on them like Chet and SGA draw on the other end.
OKC has been allowed to play two different games within one for the last two years. It is why they went from being eliminated in the 2nd round to winning it all.
For example Reaves had 5 fouls last night while Dort, Caruso, and Williams combined for 4 fouls. Caruso fouls James on every possession but finished with zero fouls. He did the same to Jokic and Siakim last year as well.
I'm fine with you cute "clapped" title, I've been a fan of the Lakers since the mid 90's and have seen six NBA title wins while I would label them as my favorite team and I'm looking forward to this offseason when the Lakers will get some wing defenders of their own.

The Lakers have a serious lack of athleticism. When 41-year old LeBron is by far your most athletic player, you have a serious problem.

Lakers lead the league in free throw differential by a substantial margin every single year, but now Lakers fans complain about the refs.

Timing is everything.
You can break down the game by watching it and when these “flop” plays occur. Or when the no calls happen then leads to something else happening. It’s massive points in the game. Many times it gets overlooked or you pull up a stat sheet and see X FTs or X FGA, but many times those moments are daggers for away teams playing great basketball then the rug gets pulled out from them.
It makes the product tough to watch. You can say it’s similar to the umps in baseball missing calls that ruin the game, then now they have the computer to clean it up… but all in all. Just be better. That’s it.
The game is more European than ever now… we all as a nation don’t watch enough soccer, but it is notorious for this and with the lack of US guys and the more euro guys in the league you see this transition…

The Thunder have beaten the Lakers by at least 15 points 5 times this season (regular season and playoffs).
That's the most 15-point wins in a season for any team against the Lakers since the 1976 merger

Wob has over 1.1m followers. I would encourage everyone to listen to his post game show last night. Lots of cussing just as FYI. He’s a part Lakers fan and mostly Knicks fan. Has season tix to Lakers cause he lives in LA.
He is pretty honest about things. Covers both games last night but first section is Lakers game.
NSFW cussing

Mark Daigneault on officiating tonight: “I always keep my interactions with the officials between me and them. I had plenty to say to them, but I'm going to keep it there. I thought our team did a really good job of staying present and just focusing on the next controllable and we just played it possession by possession.”

I continue to believe that the Thunder’s approach of leaving the refs alone benefits them.
Watching the Lakers bitchfest tonight was crazy.

Giving this more attention due to
1) The Lakers
2) LeBron
Both move the needle and NBA can thrive from that whether its positive or negative comments. It has the people talking about a product that has been gawd awful, so they are doing their job.
All series' are (2-0) minus the Spurs/Wolves...so really no surprises here. Home teams are suppose to win their home games.
Move along....
