I'll attempt to start some intelligent discussion thread instead of another rip on Lebron thread like a lot of the others.

- Pretty interesting to see the OKC big men (Perk, Ibaka, and Collison) outscore the Miami big men (Bosh, Haslem, Anthony). No idea if this will continue but this seems to be a match-up that Miami shouldwin and has to flip in order to win this series.

- Heat have to force more turnovers so they can get into transition basketball. We all know they still struggle with the half court offense. Getting outscored 24-4 by the Thunder in fast break points will bury them.

- Lebron was great. Forget all the over the top 4th quarter scrutiny. The guy put his team in a position to win like he usually does. Cannot beat a team like OKC by himself. Bosh AND DWade have to play to their highest ability or this team has no shot. I still don't know why Lebron doesn't attack the hole more though. He gets the foul call probably 90% of the time when he hits the lane and often times drops the and 1.

- As he has done in every match-up in the 10 games between the 2, Durant scored and scored at will. Miami most likely is simply going to have to just accept him getting 25-35 a night. Not even Lebron is going to prevent this.

- I have no idea how Miami is going to cover Westbrook. Wade couldn't do it last night. Way too slow. If you roll Lebron over, Battier showed his age and inability to cover KD. Plus, Harden had a really bad game offensively, so if they were able to stop Westbrook, who can shut down Harden if he can get it going?

- Cannot say enough about Thabo's defense on Wade (and a bit on Lebron). Talking heads are all saying Wade needs to step up. No idea why no one is giving Thabo credit. He bothered the heck out of Wade the entire time he guarded him. Plus some of the transition steals he had and hustle fouls he drew were crucial.

- Miami has to feel somewhat like they let one get away specifically when looking at free throws. Thunder are best FT shooting team in the league for 2 years now yet were horrible at the line until the 4th quarter. If they hit their normal percentage this was closer to a 20 point victory. Probably not a good sign for Miami.

I will say this: Miami beat the Mavs at home by 8 points last year in Game 1 and then proceeded to lose 4 of the next 5. This series is LONG from over. Miami will make adjustments. Be very interesting to see if they can make said adjustments work for them going forward.

This was the difference.

People are talking about hot shooting and this that, but this was the difference.

OKC shot 56% in the 1st half, but I believe they had 9 turnovers. That's why they were down 7.

I also believe OKC shot a worse FG% in the 2nd half, but turned over the ball once.

That was the difference, not the shooting getting hot, but not turning the ball over.

People have short memories...everyone predicted the Spurs sweeping OKC. I am NOT a Lebron fan...but this series is FAR from over.

The thing you didn't mention is Miami gets dominated on the boards when Lebron has to defend on the perimeter.

That's the story of OKC's losses this season. Shoot well yet bury yourself with silly turnovers. When they don't turn it over, they are unbeatable.

Not surprising at all.

It's funny how much people rip on Westbrook for being reckless, out of control, etc. Yet Game 1 on the biggest stage of his life he had 11 assists and only 2 turnovers. Heat are in a lot of trouble if Westbrook maintains a 4+ to 1 assists to turnovers in this series.

And Pedro, that is a fantastic gif

Wade played bad the entire game.

Bosh barely showed up.

So true, great call. Collison, Ibaka, and Perk are so underrated in their ability to grab boards or at least tip the ball back up court to keep possessions alive. They did this all night.

I'm not trying to overreact because there is so much basketball to play but when you consider:

-Harden was horrible
-Chalmers/Battier started game 6-6 from behind the arch
-Thunder shot horribly from the line until 4th

yet Heat still lost by 11 is pretty crazy.

But, they still have the best complete basketball player on the planet and anything can happen.

Well, he is definitely very reckless.

But the good he does heavily outweighs that.

He's the 2nd best PG in the game IMO.

Tired of arguing this but Perk is one of the key pieces to a successful offense for Thunder. People are so quick to a see a big guy that's slow and has low stats and assume he sucks. He's the ultimate role player.

It's fun to see how much Westbrook has grown...he was absolutely brutal in the playoffs last year.

You cant be serious. Maybe if Bosh plays huge minutes they will be better but Haslem is not on par with Ibaka. He's more of a Perkins. They cancel each other out. Anthony played 2 minutes last night. Collison is the X factor he has been playing great and with the limited amount of minutes Bosh is getting, this is only going to get worse.

The guy is lucky to catch a pass or throw an accurate one to a teammate. I'm not judging him on his quickness or stats. I've watched him play for years, and it amazes me the guy plays as much as he does. He is such a liability on offense. The risk exceeds the reward IMO.

Of course it's CP3.

That LAC team is lost without him. He's the best PG in the game, he's an all time great.

His production/efficiency is of the likes of which we haven't seen in a long time.
