They only care about the current wins. They forget about the big wins earlier in the year. Basically, teams need to play cupcakes until the final weeks of the season.
And what's the point of playing good OOC teams?

You've been melting for well over 12 hours. It might be time to seek medical help.

The committee doesn’t have a system, IMO, but if they do, they need to release defined and specific criteria.

Hell, we honestly should remove all subjective components entirely.

Make conference rankings mean something again.

The argument against that, the one about how better teams would get locked out because their conference is tougher, is fricking dumb.

If you aren’t good enough to win your conference, you aren’t good enough to make the playoffs.

If Alabama gets in at 4, LSU will be 2. If Alabama, doesn’t get in, LSU will be back at 1. That’s what they are doing.

No it's not.

Ohio State earned the #1 spot back from LSU with another top ranked win vs Penn State.

It's not that difficult to understand.

There is no system. They don’t even watch the games.

Exactly.

It is all subjective nonsense.

Look, I'm an LSU fan and I think our record and performance speak for themselves. We are a great fricking football team.

If I take my P&G glasses off; tOSU is a great fricking football team.

I want to be #1. I think we should be #1. I can see a case for tOSU being #1.

If we both win out, I don't see how LSU is not #1 in the end. We will get a chance to settle it in January.

For the committee to put OSU over LSU after all that LSU has done is hog wash. The recruiting rankings show every year that the SEC gets the best talent. The big 10 is full of 2 and 3 star players. OSU has been beating up on Maryland's and Rutgers type teams while LSU is beating highly ranked teams that are full of future NFL prospects.
OSU should not have jumped LSU after beating a horrible PSU by 11 and LSU playing a near perfect game. A team should have to look horrible or lose in order to be jumped

What's the point of having a group of people pick the wrong top 4 every year? Why not just use the AP or coaches if people are deciding it? Bcs is better unless we go to a 8 team playoff

Ohio State plays Maryland and Rutgers, and they drop to #2. Lsu plays Ole Miss and Arkansas, and they drop to #2.

Doesn’t seem fair, does it?

LSU has better wins. Our top 3 wins are ranked higher than Osu's....

I don’t care that LSU isn’t number 1.

Again, the entire ranking system is effectively subjective bullshite.

Committee members choosing ranking is an absolutely terrible system.

What surprises me though is all the people on here who trash the BCS system, yet defend this even more flawed system as the “end all be all”.

It makes zero sense.

Yeah I have no problem with OSU being #1, but to move them from 2 to 1 after last week is beyond silly.

That said it literally does not matter & the only rankings that matter are the last one.

That counts for 3/11 of it.

Now do the other 8/11 or you’re doing what’s called cherry-picking.

If you’re selective, your argument isn’t worth anything. If you’re comprehensive, you’re more likely to have something of good substance.

Beating a Top 10 team isn't worth a rakings bump?

Fake news. There isn’t a single person on here who defends the committee as the end all be all.
