Georgia deserves another chance at them.
Why? They had thier shot. They decided to Pull A Kirby and dicked it all away at end of the game.

Ok then there will be arguments for 7 and 8. Okay let’s move it to 8. But then numbers 9 and 10 got screwed. Etc.
It’ll never end. 4 is fine. None of our opinions matter anyway

For nfl and pro ball in general I think almost anyone can win. What are the chances teams 5-8 could actually win multiple games against multiple top 4 teams? Very very slim.
It’s not really the top 4 teams. It’s the top 2 teams and then the 2 next most deserving teams. In that way no one is left out, they were not good enough.

Unless it’s 32 teams, it will never be enough for playoff proponents.
As soon as you raise it to six, they will start demanding eight, and so on. No matter the standard someone always “gets left out.” In the basketball tourney, with 64 teams, there are still “injustices” with teams being left out.
The bowl system was never great either, but at the end of the day, you had more teams happy at the end of the season. In playoff systems, one team is happy, bowls are “meaningless” now, and that happy team at the end of the season? It’s likely going to be the same team that was happy the year before. Great system, guys. Hope you’re enjoying it.

6 teams are definitely deserving of a shot at a national championship this year,
Which 6?

75% of the semifinal games have been 3 or more possession blowouts. Adding more teams won't correct this.

Should be 6 spots with #1 and 2 getting a bye

It baffles me that on a site where Alabama is hated so many people want to go a system that makes it easier for us to win it all.
Under the current system, you get one mistake. Under an eight team system, you get 2 maybe even 3 mistakes.
An eight team system makes it way too easy for Ohio State, Oklahoma, and Alabama to get in. Hell 4 made it too easy for Alabama to get in just last year.
