If cam Newton was doing what kaep is doing, I guarantee he would still have a job. Because he also has this thing called talent.

Kaep is definitely better than me. But he's not good enough to take on the baggage.

The rate of liberal propaganda they push is a complete joke. The whole Yawkey thing is the newest example of them reporting/publicizing a "story" that is a non issue

So true. I usually just listen to local programming. I left it on the other day and got the RR show. He's got some woman on there and she launches into some liberal tirade. Im think WTF is this shite and killed the feed immediately. Freaking garbage. At least when Danny boy was on there with him I wouldnt turn it off.

Colin Kaepernick was rewarded with a "record" seven-year, $126 million contract. But after Kaepernick's nightmare season we are already seeing that the contract is not nearly as big as everybody made it out to be, and he could receive as little as $25.9 million.

The contract, signed last summer, gave Kaepernick a $12.3 million signing bonus and a 2014 salary of just $645,000. Kaepernick was supposed to get his first large salary ($12.4 million) in the 2015 season. But because of the way the contract was worded, that salary is actually going to go down to $10.4 million. Starting next season, Kaepernick's salary goes down $2 million each year if he is not named first- or second-team All-Pro, or if the 49ers don't play in the Super Bowl the previous season with 80% of the snaps taken by Kaepernick, according to Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk.com. The 49ers have been eliminated from playoff contention, and Kaepernick ranks 22nd in quarterback rating, which means the de-escalator is going to kick in.

In addition, while many outlets were reporting that Kaepernick's deal included a record $61 million in "guaranteed" money, it turns out the money was guaranteed only for injury.

Bingo. Look at Marshawn Lynch. He's also been sitting and did his whole refuse to talk to the media deal after games (which was a circus in itself). But he's a damn good player, so he still got picked back up out of "retirement".

The reality is Kaep shot himself in the foot when he thought he was going to be good enough to be picked up anyway.

I support Kaepernick standing up (or whether sitting down) for what he believes in. He has that right in this country.

But I would be very pissed if the saints signed him. He is a terrible NFL qb, that has nothing to do with his political beliefs. Only his onfield talents

If all Kap did was sit/kneel for the Anthem, he'd be signed by someone but NOOO he chose to wear socks depicting cops as pigs, wear a shirt of Fidel Castro, praise Fidel Castro publicly in Miami, post a tweet comparing cops to slave catchers and his lady called the Ravens owner "racist" and Ray Lewis an "Uncle Tom." That all accrues to a bunch of unnecessary baggage that no team in the NFL wants when he'll likely not be the starter. It's that simple.

Definitely not going to feel sorry for a guy who received as little as $25.9 million.

Atlanta DOES NOT REPRESENT the majority of the State of Georgia. I'm a fan of the city's sports team because I have been a Georgia native my entire life but frick the city of Atlanta.

The Falcons must have got that "boycott playing football" memo way earlier than the rest of us - late 3rd quarter of the super bowl is an odd time to take a stand.
