This makes me sad, Fed has been my favorite player for quite some time, and now I don't know if he will make a final ever again.

I don't think people realize how truly sad the decline of Rafael Nadal makes me. That's my guy; not just in tennis but sports as a general matter.* The downward curve is a tough pill to continue to have to swallow. I kinda want him to either reinvent himself or call it a career.

I had an all out war with someone during last years Australian open regarding him. Pretty sure it was midnight.

He was simply an unathletic, slow servbot who would never amount to anything.

I said he was the next guy to break through because he was very athletic for someone his size and power.

To be clear, you weren't right. He has improved substantially while remaining decidedly unathletic. And, to be clear, every single poster on this board agrees with me on this. And I fancy myself an independent thinker, so this is exceedingly rare and exceedingly powerful evidence that your inexplicable claims about his foot speed were surely the result of a quaalude surplus.

Do let me know, though, if you have any more quaaludes. I'm just asking for a friend.

And yall are all idiots relating to this. Calling Milos decidedly unathletic is hilarious

He does not move extremely well for a big guy. Janowicz moves extremely well for a big guy. Raonic tries to avoid tripping over his own feet as he awkwardly plods around the court. Above average, as in better than the average 4.0 player? Maybe.

Still true. Start naming ATP players bigger and also faster than Raonic and keep going until you cant' name anymore.

Anybody who even loosely follows the game gets to double digits. A junkie like me coudl prolly go a dozen deep.

So, yeah, Raonic has improved his game. Raonic is still not a good athlete, and you shoudl really just concede this point. It's affecting your argumentative credibility.

Do you want to have that player naming contest? I'm your huckleberry. Just give me the word.

He is in the finals of Wimbledon. You know, in the finals of a grand slam of a sport that requires possibly the most athleticism of any sport

Bigger or taller? Because not many ATP players weigh more than 216.

Biggie ups to Raonic for figuring out how to modify the rest of his game to make up for his plodding, clumsy feet. Guy's a pro. Nobody's denying this.

Taller. I'm quite sure the ATP weight listings are never updated, and height hinders movement more than weight as a general matter. In other words, if you're tall, it doesn't work in your favor from an agility perspective to also be gangly. The added 20-30 lbs isn't gonna slow you down. I'm repeating myself, I think.

So, yeah, taller.

Should I start this show?

So your reasoning for Milos being a lumbering unathletic slob, will be naming other pro tennis players who are more athletic

I don't think it's an argument that can be won on either side. Compared to other 6'4 pro athletes, I'm sure he's near the bottom. But I would say he's in the top 5% in the world athletically at that size.

Dude just had a cakewalk to the final. Sam Querrey in the quarters and 34 year old Fed who is coming off missing Roland Garros.

Milos will get beat in straights and it will be remembered in the same light as Berdych's final. No one will remember anything other than Nadal and Murray winning their 2nd Wimbledon.

Raonic Serve & Volley at Wimbledon

2014 to semi 25/33
2016 to semi 99/133
Semi v Federer 16/19

Overall 2016 115/152 - winning 76%
Thank You Johny Mac

He is going to have to be successful at more of the same to have a chance with Murray, Murray's defense from deep in the court is second only to Djoker (ok, this is anecdotal and totally my opinion).

Some might even argue that he's ahead of Joker in this regard.

Serena's serve is so clutch. She faces no break points for a week, then when she does, throws in a couple of aces.
