Just makes it crazy that the USTA and the American media have overlooked her. Even last year she was better than Gauff, Stephens or Keys but got no attention because she's white and from Russia. The USTA is so obsessed with only having black or multiracial players representing the U.S.
Neither Gauff, Stephens or Keys have the refuse to lose mentality that Kenin has and that's why none of them will ever truly be great IMO. Gauff could but I haven't seen it yet and neither Stephens or Keys ever had it.
If I was Kenin and the USTA came to me now suddenly wanting to promote me like crazy I'd tell them right where to shove it. I wouldn't blame her if she represented Russia in the Fed Cup.

This is probably the first time in a long time maybe ever where the slow court conditions has actually benefited another tennis player than Djokovic and Nadal. Thiem is quite frankly a superior slow court player to Djokovic at this point in his career.
