Yeah, nice day of matches today. Silent K is very solid. I know he's seems mentally soft at times, but at 22, I'd cut him some slack. Thiem is playing well on these courts, that should be a beating. I think Kei takes out Fed.

Your no-expectations schtick with RF is working well. I don't think he has a lost a match since you started that

At the risk of jinxing it, blind fading Keys when she's up a set and a break needs to be a betting strategy. 11/1 is sick.

I didn't even know that's what it was

Alex looks like garbage. Possible shoulder injury.

i will say this about the new/next gen players...people often point to the big 3 as to why they can't break through, but headcases like zverev and thiem can barely break through their own peers, let alone the top guys.

When Roger/Rafa/Djoker leave, the game will be left in the hands of Zverev, Thiem, Coric, and other promising americans that prob won't amount to much.

How much, if any, of that do you think is due to general frustration from the big 3 blocking their path to everything? In other words, if the big 3 were not around, would the NextGen guys be winning slams instead of the Delpo, Cilic, Anderson, Nishi types?

Maybe our expectations are a little too high to expect them to pass guys who have been doing this for 5-10 more years.

You can go around in circles on this. There are people who think Fed is a bit overrated because he feasted on what they perceive as weak era top players like Roddick and Hewitt before Rafa and Novak started to break through. Well, without Fed those guys would probably have four or five majors each and we'd view them as all-time greats. All I know is you have to have mad respect for a guy like Murray to win three majors and two gold medals in the midst of all of this. He'd probably have eight or ten without these GOATs.

I feel bad for lostgen players like Nishikori and Grigor. Cilic is the only one of them to grab a major. Alex and Thiem will get theirs in a year or two and start racking them up.

Already posted my Thiem bet, and Bunk seemed to agree. I would be very surprised if Sock pulls that upset. You better hurry because it's starting soon I believe.

Thanks Domi for that 17% first serve percentage in the 2nd game.

Live betting Thiem should be good. Just a question of whether to do it now at 2-4 or see if he drops the 1st set.

Sock ripping backhand returns like an actual tennis player is comical.

Haven't heard this one yet. I like it.

Agree on Murray. Throw in Stan too as another guy who had very few openings but stepped up big time when he needed to.

Federer shockingly takes the 2nd set. this would be a huge win for him if he can pull it off.

They give him some special colorways on those Vapors. Also, I doubt they are going to promote Fed much unless he signed a special shoe deal after leaving them.

Tiebreaker to decide it.
