As far as sizable dogs go, Sock in the +300 range vs. Gasquet is about as good as it gets imo.

Looks great so far. Not even a week and he's already balding...

They just said one of Sock's habits/superstitions was to eat at Chipotle 14 straight days before a major. Wut.

Might be time to try something else.

I was gonna post about that. WTH happened? Playboy Grigs looks way less Playboy Grigsy, and it seemingly receded overnight.

Is that one of those metrics that they only release to media members like Courier or Knowles? Funk those guys (the hawkeye guys).
Ace percentage gives one a pretty good idea of court speed. Rally length would be even better, but I don't know if that's available.

Doesn't seem like the worst diet in the world. Meat, beans, cheese. And burritos have fewer carbs than, say, a burger. You can't really eat your way into bad cardio shape unless you're a female and you just add an extra arse or three in like six months. See, Seles, Monica.
For a dude, as long as he's eating like actual food and not a steady diet of little debbie cakes, I say he's not doing himself that much damage.

I’ve always been impressed with Michael Chang wearing ankle weights while playing matches in his prime

The logic corollary of my "don't bet on frenchies" rule is "fade frenchies at every reasonable opportunity". So, I should have been there with you, but just couldn't bring myself to back the jizzrag.

Do what now?

Dzumhur +6 games is intriguing, but I just can't bet on a 5'9 guy with no serve vs. Novak Djokovic.

Still can't figure out what's going on with this dome. It's like he started shaving the side and the back and then decided not to cut the part in the front to cover up the baldness.

He needs to get a stylist and/or a hair plug guy to make that look a little better. He's too handsome to have the Verbal Kent hairline. #nohomo

My concern is that he might have some lingering "conflict in yugoslavia" bad blood a la Drazen Petrovic vis a vis Vlade Divac and go full-on beastmode like he did against Cilic for 16 matches sraight.

So, what happens on a 6-1, 2-1 retirement?
I don't think the Chipotle thing is too bad. I used to load up a big burrito for lunch sometimes to have energy when I've had a match at night. I'm just laughing at the thought of him running all over the place to the one or two franchises in London and France.

Fed got a walkover on Milos, too. I'd be butthurt if I had tickets to that event today.
Sucks to be Tsonga, lose with 3 tb match. Guy who beats you doesn't make his next match.

Wow, so Sock went from being locked in with Rafa, to facing a LL in the quarters. Awesome.

Paris must have the best Chipotles.
Any bets on games or totals are usually voided on retirements. There are rare cases when a match is like 7-6, 6-7, and Dzumhur retires at 3-3 in the 3rd. In that case a +6 would be a win (or vice versa) at some books because there was no way he could have lost +6 if the match had finished.
You can use this to your advantage in certain spots. Rafa vs. Verdasco was a good example. With Rafa potentially picking up an injury in practice, you wouldn’t want to lay -250 or whatever because he could lose a set and retire. But if you played something like -3.5 games, a retirement would just be a void. And if he’s 100%, well there’s a decent chance he covers the 3.5.

Early morning thoughts, since 3 hours of tennis renders my body useless and I fell asleep at 10 pm like a weird person.
Speaking of that, I feel like we are sleeping on Khachanov. Not "we" as in the 5 of us who post here. I mean the tennis world in general. I don't know if it's because he's Russian, or if we're getting burnt out on these NextGen guys who flash greatness for a few weeks and then disappear again.
He's 6'6, 22 years old, moves well, and has all the shots. The only NextGen player that is clearly a step above him is Zverev. As luck would have it, they will face off in about 45 minutes. Zverev won their last meeting at the French in 5 sets.
It's funny how Sock is the same price today that he was against Gasquet a few days ago. I can't imagine his backhand will hold up against a guy like Thiem. Both like slower courts, but Thiem likes them a lot more.
I won't get to see Fed/Kei but that should be a good one.
And finally we have Cilic vs. Djokovic. Sorry Marin.
