The courts seem incredibly slow. Think I’m gonna sit out betting until everyone plays at least 1 match. If I had to play something, Fucsticks over purple hair looks decent.

Just a feeling based on what I’ve seen so far plus the fact that Sock won it last year. I watched a few games of a couple matches last night, and there’s basically no winners unless somebody leaves a ball way short. Most points are lost by unforced errors.

I pulled up the Khachanov highlights and the first point starts at 0:43 and ends at 1:33. I’’m not even bothering counting the number of shots in the rally. Even the forehand that won it probably should have been a clean winner.

I’m open to having my mind changed, but I can’t imagine there’s any kind of evidence for that. Winners and unforced errors are only tracked for slams, I believe.

ETA: I am aware that watching on TV is very inconclusive.

Mildly bold take: that will be Roger's last tournament win of his career.

I do think he'll win a few more tournaments. But he won't catch Connors.

Sousa 10 break chances

Yeah, that would fit the slow court narrative.

As far as sizable dogs go, Sock in the +300 range vs. Gasquet is about as good as it gets imo.

No action for me today.

Catching some of this Isner match; he is playing really well.

Did Rafa withdraw? Ticker says match is cancelled, but doesn't indicate who got the WO.

I knew something was fishy when TGGRN was only -250 against Verdasco.

"don't play or it will break"

They weren't in quotation marks, but those have to be Rafa's words. Definitely understandable that he wouldn't want his abdomen to break.

They got a little aggressive with the curvature on the 1 there. Is that supposed to be a duck? Flaccid phallus? Pick-axe?

Bold statement: Djokovic will eventually pass smug for most weeks at #1.

Fed got a walkover on Milos, too. I'd be butthurt if I had tickets to that event today.

The courts do appear slow to me as every point in Dimitrov/RBA is an epic struggle. Mark Knowles says it is the second slowest hardcourt on tour after Indian Wells according to "Hawkeye court index."

I'm hoping Agassi can elevate Dimitrov next year. Grigs looked good today.

Gonna have to check this out. Sounds more trusty than my eyes.
