Jack Sock at #54 makes a lot more sense than his current ATP ranking.

#14 Jack Sock is an underdog (+110) to #53 Medvedev (-152) this morning. Makes your point.

I had no idea that Murray was back playing. Glad to see it. Nice round of 32 match with Kyrgios tomorrow.

Yea, I don't see that going well for Murray.

That match could be ugly. Here’s Murray getting smoked by Donaldson in practice.

Jesus, it looks like last year when he was in denial about his condition. I hope he is just taking it easy there.

He should offer a deal to his opponent to let them serve the entire match - might improve his chances.

After coin toss, “I’ll receive... every game.”

Unfortunately it’s vs. Kyrgios, so that won’t work either.

Might want to bet asap if you like it. I’m heavy on -2.5 games. The ML is already over -300 after opening at -200. I got it at -255 in a couple parlays, one with Anderson and another with Lopez.

Beating Kyrgios on grass even at your best is quite a task. Just ask Roger. Murray even said this first match back is not about winning. It’s not often that there’s value in a line that high, but this might be one case.

Early Morning Updates:

Gizmo's boy Benny P continues on his tear. Takes out Stevie. I've never really had any love for SJ, so good job Ben.

Teetsy fly takes out Pouille. I wasn't sure how teetsy's game was going to translate to grass. That's a promising result for him.

The Mighty Milos make Bhambri quit just by the sheer force of his awesomeness.

Well, thanks to Larry Leo, I know that Tennys is banging Britt McHenry. Thank you, Larry.

Well I'll be.

I was actually just looking at Tennys' 2017. So he worked the minor league last year and got a spot in both the US Open and the French. Where he lost in the 1st in both, but made more money with those two losses than he made in all of the tournaments for the year.

It is amazing how different the life of a player ranked say 125 vs that of a player ranked 75. And at the same time Smyczek could have a great tournament this week and make that complete jump by stringing together a few wins.

https://www.atpworldtour.com/en/players/tim-smyczek/sf62/rankings-breakdown

Charlottesville 2017, where Smyczek won $10800 beating Tennys ($6360) in the final:

Yeah, I don't know what the money is, but I feel like being stuck at 100 or so is a kind of torture. I know you're getting to travel the world and chase your dream, but at some point it doesn't make financial sense to keep fighting. Speaking of which, Mr. Sock has had some nice career highlights, but he may need to go back to doubles if he is not making good endorsement money.

There is certainly an exponential curve on the way up. Here is Smyczek's 2017. ATP record 1-7, $201,310. Ranking between 200-150.

eta: I just have no concept of how much endorsement money comes in vs how much goes out, coaches/travel.
