TENNYS TENNYS TENNYS TENNYS

Bet Chung and Pliskova for a really good night
Sandgren totally surprised me bc I had Thien to Finals.
Tonight I’m leaning Cilic to beat Nadal. Also, Edmunds is playing very well so I might play him light.

Svitolina loses to Mertens 6-4, 6-0. Didn’t see that coming, but it’s WTA, so maybe I did.

Svitolina had no answer. That was an arse-whoopin’.

Why?
He's not exactly the best on hard courts.

What in the world would have made you think that was gonna happen?

If Federer died on court

I like Edmund’s game

Article about the motives of some media members. It features Tennys, and the clip of Kyrgios at the bottom is pretty funny.

I agree with Clay. Tennys handled it as well as he could have been expected to. I agree that a perfect answer to the second question would have been more along the lines of "well first you'll have to unpack the term "alt-right" so that i can be clear what exactly you're referring to. From there, I would be happy to expound upon my viewpoint on any individual issue if you would like. I think that is a more constructive approach since I fancy myself an independent thinker and tossing around vaguely generalized pejorative-intended labels like abused infants is generally a sport reserved for the sheep who either can't or have never tried to think for themselves."
But coming up with something like that on the spot is not easy, and I probably wouldn't have responded more along the lines of how Sandgren did.
I started to pick up on some of hte backlash against Tennys in the morning after his biggest win ever and kind of made me sick to my stomach. First of all, who cares what his political views are. Second of all, diversity of viewpoint is no longer an accepted thing in the U.S today, and that sucks. The SJW crusade won. Does it make Tennys a racist to ask James Blake whether he thought his incident with law enforcement was due to individually racists cops or an inherently racist criminal justice syste, and to disagree with James' belief that law enforcement is inherently racist? No no. It makes him something other than a lazy thinker.
One blogger called him Gengis Khan. That gets me fired up. Be happy for the guy during this amazing run. And be okay with viewpoints that don't align with your own.
Feel free to not respond to this post as I don't want to hijack this thread.

What if he was just brain dead? I think I'd go brain dead Fed over Thiem on a quick hard court.
Also, what if Fed were a zombie, so like the walking dead. Can't rule out Zombie Fed in that match either.

Picking anyone but Federer to win this tournament right now is probably a brain dead move, honestly.
I actually think Chung v Federer would be an interesting match, though.

I’ll have to reserve my thoughts on this guy until after Aussie. Don’t want to get SMS all riled up.

Really trying to enjoy this match- but the double-barrel pink outfits on both ends are really fricking with my eyes. There should be regulations. If it were only one it wouldn't be as bad- but both sides make it hard on the eyes and the enjoyment.

I know Edmund is playing well, but this would be a bad loss for Dimitrov.

What would you guys put the odds at of us seeing another major semifinal with all of the Big Four?
20%?
20%?
Posted on 1/23/18 at 12:24 am to BayouBengals03
Dimitrov is struggling mentally. If he can make it to the fifth and his confidence improves he's got a shot.
Posted on 1/23/18 at 12:25 am to BayouBengals03
Well it’s 0 at the French, and close to 0 at Wimbledon. I would say about 3%.

Are you saying you don't think Federer will ever play the French again?
They've all made the semis at the French together before, FWIW. That was a while ago, though.

Don't know why he would as successful as he was not playing it last year.
Edmund serving for the match right now.
