Well, I think they changed the grass mix in '02 and you wound up with Hewitt and Nalbandian in the final. There is some thinking that the court slows down in the second week when it becomes dirt and bakes a bit. I don't know why the courts would be slow in the first week. Good point on the balls. That something we don't usually think about. I believe Australia had balls that were playing fast this year, which obviously helped Fed.

Got centre court tickets for tomorrow. This will be interesting. Hoping some big names on that court, like Fed. Shame you don't know who's playing on what court at the time you have to buy the tickets.
Edit: I'm happy with the lineup

Boom.
I thought they might rotate Fed out for a day. I lucked out at RG and they put Fed on Lenglen when I was there that day. The one thing that can screw you is how they put countrymen on the show courts, but at least you get Mo-fees with that. I did well on my first day at Wimbledon in '02 and got Agassi, but the next day I had some crap like Juan Carlos Ferrero.

Anybody else find Simona Halep smoking hot?

Meh, I think she kind of looks like an elf or dwarf or something. People always talk about the tit reduction with her.
Muguruza is an interesting two-face. Cute as hell some days and kind of manly others.
Of course, everyone loves Bouchard.
Dirty Euro whore Radwanska has a tight body if you see her Sports Illustrated body photos.

She looks like Kim Wexler from Better Call Saul

her dad is a few cylinders short of an engine

You familiar with the story about Giorgi and her dad?

I liked her a lot better after the tit reduction, oddly enough.

There's this regarding slower courts, but I don't put a lot of stock into it. There doesn't seem to be many big servers in the field this year.
Also...
Karolina Pliskova: “The courts seem slow, especially compared to Eastbourne and the practice courts here. There were a lot of rallies, which isn't normal on grass. The surface reminds me of moss. It's not an advantage for me. It's easier for the other players to return my serve."
Of course you only seem to hear from players who dislike the surface.

Does anyone want to lend me some money so that I can put all of it on Kei at -235 against Bautista?

Ditto. She drips sex appeal.

I used to be this way on Muguruza, but I'm all in now. Or would like to be all in....if ya know whaddaya mean. I think she's a fine piece of ace. Biblical knowledge, I yearn to acquire.

But if I were given some truth serum and then forced to give my thoughts on the subject, I would be unable to avoid a confession that none of them get me chubbed up quite like Pliskova.
Those go-on-for-days long bow legs with the gap at the top and the tattoo on the side that says " I don't bang on the first date; I bang before the first date even starts." That gap at the top of her legs...it also speaks. It's as if it communicates directly with my sperm cells: , "Come over here you ambitious one-track-minded little super swimmers. Come to this most gushy place you belong. Do make haste now."

Unfortunately the #2 rule in my betting handbook is... Never bet against Bautista or Goffin. On top of that, Kei is high up on my list of players to avoid for large bets. He's way behind Tomic, but still in the top 5.
So, with that said, it's probably a great bet. Maybe try emanresu. I get the feeling he's pretty loaded.

Yah, a more informative stat would be expected ace% with the matchups that have taken place v. actual ace%. It would basically be a player by player look at ace%, that was then integrated over all the players in the tourney. That'd be a bit more telling.
But even that is imperfect. Why can't hawkeye answer this question for us? Or even if that isn't what hawkeye is specifically designed for, a tweaked version of it could definitively answer how fast or slow any given court iis playing.
Then we wouldn't have to put too much stock into the comically self-interested analysis of them we hear at press conferences.
Dustin Brown: ""they are playing slower than RG"
Interview to RAfa: "Rafa, did you hear that Dustin Brown said the courrts were slower than RG?"
Rafa: ""I think maybe Dustin was kidding around, no?"
The above exchange -- not in those exact words, but close enough, -- actually happened yesterday.
lol.
e need science, not anecdote.

What's funny is that I also have written rules and player-specific practices, but they are not aligned with yours above.* I bet Kei regularly. And I fade Bautista when I feel like it's the right play. Like here.
One of my favorite plays is when you've got Player A v. Player B and they play with essentially similar styles of play, but one just does things a little better than the other.
Like, for example, Rafa v. Ferrer before Ferrer was washed up. House. On. Rafa. Anyway, so that's essentially my Kei over Bautista analysis.
Fwiw, it's probably not a god idea to listen to me on this stuff. I generally tend to do really well on clay, and then give a bunch of it back on the grass.
*I, for example, proceed with great caution before backing a favored player who is of french descent. I will do it sometimes...but only if just everything else about the play I love.
