Always tell myself not to bet on Tennis.

So naturally I'm cussing out Fed as I backed him to win and under 29.5 games as he heads for a tiebreaker

29.5 is a good number. Even with the tiebreaker he can still get under that.

Just saw the Isner highlights... what a shocker, he lost 2 of 3 tiebreaks because he can't fricking break a serve.

Can he please just retire.

US # 1 and 2 out in second round. I don't think most of these kids give a shite any more. Get a sponsor deal and ride it out for the next decade and you'll be set.

I didn't bet on it, but I got pretty rustled watching the replay last night of horse face fake Brit Konta and her stupid ball bounce take out sweet, vulnerable Vekic.

On the women's side, I think a big upset could come on Center Coutr, as Rybarikova has a very tricky grass court game. Pliskova will need to be playing well to beat Magdalena

I just wanna say good call. I thoroughly enjoyed this match.

And that was tough to watch Bethanie Mattek Sands injury. She is probably the coolest chick on tour.

Murray gets on my nerves.

His side of the draw is absurdly easy. It seems like it's been that way since he's been ranked number one, even though he's probably the 5th best player in the world at best. Wawrinka is better than Murray. Murray is a defensive player who is pretty much a counter puncher.

Nadal is looking scary good right now. Djokovic is rolling as well. Fed will be around as well.

It made me want to vomit.

To Tup, Murray is a weird guy. Cool off court, but a complete whiny dick on court. I kind of feel the same way about Nadal. He is the most humble dude off court, but his stupid tics/OCD and slow play go over the line IMO.

I would sprinkle some money on Khachanov for shits and giggles.

Djokovic is the one I didn't like

I just think Murray is way overrated given the field. I don't dislike his on the court personality entirely. I just think his forehand weak, his backhand doesn't have that much pop, and his second serve is mediocre.

Nadal always says the same thing in press conferences. He tries his best and he works very hard. I swore I'd never pick against Nadal after the Australian where he had like 2 or 3 five set matches and then beat Fed in the final.

Sock

I've always been the guy defending him because he seems to get too much hate. But it's getting real tough now.

He cuts way back on doubles, despite being the best doubles player alive, to "focus on singles".
He plays 1 clay warm-up then loses in straight sets to Vesely in the French. Then he shows up at Wimbledon without playing on grass and loses to a guy I literally never heard of before.

I don't get what he's trying to accomplish.

This may have been said here already, but damn Vika is looking as fit as I've ever seen her. Something strangely attractive about her. I guess motherhood is agreeing with her.

Agreed. Tennis Channel had her on and the host was saying she is the rare example of someone coming back in better shape from maternity leave. I always thought she was a bit of a butterface, but she looked good.

Told y'all not to frick with RBA.

Cilic is playing well.

I was thinking he was a serious threat going in...nothing to suggest otherwise now, but the way the surface appears be playing, I wouldn't bet against Rafa. I think it definitely is going to enhance Djokovic's chances as well. I haven't developed the feeling yet for Fed, maybe I'm just "nervous" for him since I want him to win so bad.

I watched a lot of Queens and Cilic was awesome. He only dropped serve once the whole tournament. Lopez just played really well to beat him. I picked Cilic to come out of his half earlier in the thread. Lots of tinfoil on other boards about the slow surface. I think it's just mother nature wreaking havoc and possibly different balls (not sure if anyone has substantiated this).

You still came in 2nd lol

Man Rafa has to be the leader at breaking in his opponent's first service game. So demoralizing.

Anyone want to try picking a winner on the WTA side? I'll go with "trashy" Coco.
