In the first ever set she played in a slam final, Venus lost 0-6 to Hingis, she's about to lose 0-6 again in probably her last ever set in a slam final.

Can't argue that Muguruza deserved this title

What a horrible way to end it on a challenge

I agree with you. Venus gave up after that first set didn't go her way

Ball was way out though, the line judge fricked that up

Oh I agree with you. It was just an anticlimactic way to end the final

The doubles final has been a really fun watch.

It has been. I wish they would show doubles matches throughout the tournament when there's no singles matches going on

Meh. I was still laying on the couch after waking up from a nap. It's not like my life is that riveting to begin with lol.

You think Venus is pissed that she could be the greatest female tennis player ever if it wasn't for her younger sister?

No, because she probably realizes that even if Serena never existed, then she wouldn't be the greatest ever. Serena may have passed Martina and Steffi as the greatest ever, but those two are clearly ahead of Venus.

Now, Venus did take a lot of time away from the tour to focus on her fashion lines and designing. And she also had a lot of time away due to some serious injuries and illnesses that had to taken care of. Had Venus focused harder on her tennis career, and had she been healthier, she may have surpassed all of them including Serena, but that didn't happen....

Great post. Without Serena, I think Venus wins 10-15 majors. But, she still wouldn't approach Graf level.

I'm feeling Cilic tomorrow, guys. You degenerates should place some shekels on that +400 line and enjoy the day.

I already took some Roger at -300 before the semi. I know you have to do the emotional hedge thing as a self-described Fedtard, but he isn't losing to Marin Cilic in a Wimbledon final. Maybe 3 years ago, but not now.

He's almost 36, brah. Betting on the 28 year old on his A game who blew him off the court at Flushing Meadows three years ago is not ridiculous.
