The #Texans are now willing to listen — and have been for some time — to trade offers for star QB Deshaun Watson, multiple sources tell me and @RapSheet. But the price is high for a player of his caliber, and should be. It’d likely take at least three first-round picks and more.

Interested teams have done homework on Deshaun Watson’s legal situation. The NFL hasn’t placed him on the exempt list and the civil cases won’t go to trial this year. If a team gets comfortable with that piece, it’s a rare opportunity to acquire one of the NFL’s best young QBs.

For Deshaun Watson, the @Texans price has been some combination of 5 high draft picks and starting caliber players, per two league executives.

No one is going to come close to that price without some certainty on the allegations front. I think the media would even put pressure on the league for a suspension in the event of a settlement let criminal charges.

They have no reason to trade him then.

The Texans are basically telling Deshaun to beat it.

The Texans are asking way to much for him… plus no team is gonna touch him with that huge cloud hanging over his head.

masseuses. many. the assault was not that he raped. or forced sex.
the case looks like extortion if you ask defense attorney.

under oath case will be interesting.
right now its lawyers.

Legal issues aside, Deshaun Watson may have the best skill set of any QB presently in the NFL.

Russell Wilson, Patrick Mahomes, and Lamar Jackson are his only QB rivals.

Who would want to trade for a guy who won’t be playing for the next few yeas, if ever?

What would you offer in trade for him? A bag of rocks?

I’d trade Michael Thomas for him right now straight up. Both risk/reward for both ends.

Edit: for the saints it gets the off the hook of that colossal contract for a wannabe Tony hawk porcelain doll.

Steelers should offer 5 late round picks and a defensive end. They have experience with these kind of QBs.

I'm willing to trade my wife in for 2 23 year old coeds. But is anyone else willing to make that trade with me?
