I wonder if Dallas would trade Nowitzki and Bass for Ming and Landry?
Houston wouldn't make that trade.

The Lakers will stomp the Rockets tonight.

hell no...
I wouldn't either if I were Dallas but Nowitzki can leave after next season and if things are the same I can see many teams that don't get Lebron to go after Nowitzki.

Will just need to decide on Ming, McGrady, Scola, and Landry.
Landry just signed a deal this past offseason and Scola is going nowhere as far as DM is concerned

You really think Nowitzki will stay with Dallas and the fact that thier team will be basically the same with bad contracts such as 36 million tied up in Terry, Dampier, Howard, and Carrol when he could go to San Antonio and play with Parker and Duncan or Miami and play with Wade and Beasley and even the ultimate of going to New York and pairing with Lebron to win multiple championships.

no, i think he will probably leave unless douche cuban throws a ton of money his way. i would just rather have other players than nowitzki on my team. a soft, fade away shooting, non rebounding, no defense, 7 foot 1 power forward will get stats but is unlikely to win a championship for you.

How old is Dirk now? I haven't paid much attention to the Mavs this year, but it seems like his production has gradually been slipping the last few years. And he's never been able to play defense.

Personally I would like to see the Rockets go after a scorer like Michael Redd if they are going to try to trade for anyone. PF is not a position need for Houston so I don't want Dirk. If they don't want to trade for MR or another scoring 2 then they will wait till next off season and put their name in the hat for D Wade. Yao is definately going to be resigned, he is our owners cash cow and will retire a Rocket but T mac is up in the air. If the money is their which it should be Daryl Morey has said his number 1 target in 2010 is D Wade. I'd have to think the Rockets can offer him more than just about every other team in the league with the players we have, Yao, and a max contract, we will see though

The key to beating LA is jumping on them early. They are a talented team, but the have no heart. Watch Kobe when things get bad. He starts playing without passion. It's almost like he does it to show that he's not at fault for the loss. He passes up open looks as if he's trying to prove a point. The Lakers have to win tonight. If they don't, Houston will close this thing in 6. Sounds crazy, but it could happen.
Dont think many people here are talking about the lack of toughness & testicular fortitude that LA is showing. You can bet your arse Odom won't play hurt...at least effectively. People can bring up all kinds of points but the Lakers QUIT! Championship teams dont do that. Magic,Bird,Jordon,Olajuwon would never tolerate that. The Lakers have no heart & no mental toughness....Cleveland would run them over just like the Celtics did. LeBron has them playing with a killer instinct and an attitude.
What makes me think Houston has a chance?
-Anyone seen Odom?
-I think I saw Bynum on a milk carton.
-Fisher hasn't done anything except cheapshot Scola.
-Kobe acts like a bitch when things get tough.
-LA's front line is getting pushed around by the smaller front court of the Rockets....Celtics anyone???
-LA's bench is showing nothing!!! If the bench keeps letting them down, they will loose the series plain and simple.
-Rockets have TWO guys who can at least make Kobe work 1on1 so they dont have to double much.
Houston has a great chance...if they win 2nite, they close it out at home in 6. One thing is for sure, they win game 6. This thing is going 7. Lakers will probably win, but it's gonna be a war.

Redd would be a great pickup. Dump T-Mac's arse. And resign Yao.
Redd might could be gotten cheaply too, seeing how he probably wants out now that he sees Mo balling for a championship contending team.

I'm pretty sure with the Knicks buying out Marbury that leaves us with the highest salary off the books and therefore the most $$ to spend. The Knicks could choose to sign a few players to 1 year deals for next season in order to free up space to go after LeBron, D-Wade, Carmelo, Bosh etc...but at the worst we'll have the second most money to spend.

I like Redd, but more as a role player. He has had to many injuries, which is the last thing Houston needs.

I believe Odom is out too, so they may very well win.

I think the Knicks 2 big targets are Lebron and C Bosh. They will be able to afford 2. If the Rocekts make a push at D Wade you would have to like their chances getting him if he wants out of Miami. Miami can give him more money than anyone else since he is on their roster but if he wants another championship and is willing to give up a few million i can't think of another team who could give him a max deal and be as close to competing for a championship as Houston. It's all speculation till 2010 but it would be nice. You have to figre Miami is gonna put on a full court press for him to get him resigned.

He is a great scorer but the injuries would worry me also. I really don't want the Rockets to go after anyone in a trade. I am happy having T mac next year then going after one of the guys in the 2010 FA class. Was really just using Redd as an example of who the Rockets would look at if they explored a trade since they definately wouldn't go after Dirk like they were discussing earlier.

D Wade
I love where I live guys...but
South Beach
VS
Galveston
assuming the money is equal there is no way he leaves south beach IMO, where he is an absolute star, to come play in Houston. Bosh is a different story.
