Do you really want him back? Don't you think it would be smarter to cut your losses, get his contract off the books, and sign a pure shooter/scorer (i.e.: Redd)?

Answer me this Klark, would you rather have $20 mil to spend THIS offseason, or NEXT offseason? I can post next year's free agent list vs. this year's for comparisons sake if you'd like.

woah woah fellahs. no need to get out the noose...

mattz, dude I clearly wasn't bumping this to rub a loss in your face. espcecially considering how LA got the same treament 3 days ago. not my intentions, my intentions were only to get my previoius question about t-mac answered.

no your right, that makes sense i didn't know his contract situation. next off season is for sure when you want the extra $20 mill lying around.

i just tend to agree with the critics that he is a team cancer and the rockets are better off without him. it's just a question of sooner or later.

cuz they don't need a big man really, but need someone who can hit open jump shots consistently (that rules out wafe, sorry).

plus he's not t-mac.

I was just pointing out the reasons. Best possible scenario would be him injured all of next year. After that we'll have more money coming off the books than any other team when lebron, wade, carmelo, bosh, dirk etc. are all free agents.

Keep Yao and try to sign him to a small 3 year extension at 15 mil. per year.

Keep Artest and try to sign him to an 8.5 mil. per year salary.

That would give the Rockets Artest, Battier, Ming, Landry, Dorsey and Brooks under contract at 32 Million. They could resign Scola and Lowry to average contracts and still have money to go after Wade, LeBron, or any of the other big free agents in the summer of 2011.

I doubt either of them sign deals like that, especially Yao.

i was talking about next year. i have never viewed tmac as a "cancer" in houston. his problem has always been playing through pain. he isn't a cancer and i still think that if he comes back healthy he could be a top 20 player next year. it's easy to write him off when he's not around. he's never played with a team as talented as we were this year.

all of that being said, it's going to be nice to see who we get when his contract expires.

Yeah, and I'm looking for something in the Midtown or Rice Village area. If worst comes to worst, it's back to Cypress.

My fiance and I thought about moving out to Katy but realized we have a long time to live in the suburbs. I like Rice Military but it's pretty expensive. Midtown apartments are expensive but the townhomes are pretty affordable compared to other areas close to downtown

The burbs are for old people. Living inside the loop is worth it. Easier access to MMP, Toyota Center, and Reliant too.

Ya. One of the places we looked at a few months ago had a huge living room window with the first thing you saw being MMP. I told my girl we were buying it until I heard this loud arse train and saw the tracks were about 10 feet from our back yard.

Some things are too good to be true. My buddy almost bought a townhouse in Memorial a few months ago and they supposedly aren't so expensive considering the area.
