What happened this year that leads you to believe that the Rockets can beat the Lakers in a best 2 out of 3 series, basically what we're down to, where the Lakers have 2 home games.

That they dominated games 1 and 4 of this series and are tied with LA 2-2

People keep bringing up the regular season and pointing out how the Lakers went 4-0 against us, like that matters. Guess what, the Lakers didn't have a game all season that they never led in, until game 4.

People say Brooks' production has hit a ceiling, what about Gasol? Is he going to go for 30 again, 20 of those in the 4th quarter?

The only game the 2 teams have played this season with the lineup the same as it will be tonight was game 4, and the Rockets might as well have bent the Laker Girls over in front of the Laker bench and had their way with them while Kobe looked on with envy....of the Laker Girls.

I think the Lakers will win. I hate them but they're too good not to bounce back against a Rockets team that is plagued by injury.

That's Gasol's ceiling, but Kobe with 15 again....not going to happen.

You put too much stock in the talking heads. Do really good teams get blown out like the Lakers did? And if the Rockets were plagued by injury would they have been able to embarrass LA like they did?

They may have some injuries, but so far it's only made them better, so I wouldn't consider that 'plagued'.

Yep, also are the Lakers gonna go 11-20 from the 3pt line again like they did in game 3? Doubtful. People love to make excuses for why the Lakers lost but they fail to give credit where credit is due. The Rockets flat out beat down the Lakers in their two wins. It's now a best of 3 series where anything can happen. The people who are saying the Rockets have no chance are just dumb

The key to beating LA is jumping on them early. They are a talented team, but the have no heart. Watch Kobe when things get bad. He starts playing without passion. It's almost like he does it to show that he's not at fault for the loss. He passes up open looks as if he's trying to prove a point. The Lakers have to win tonight. If they don't, Houston will close this thing in 6. Sounds crazy, but it could happen.

100% agree.

I think you take that add to it the fact that the Lakers are soft and are playing with no heart, compassion, or desire that real champions have.

I wish Magic could get into that locker room and bitch them out. Kobe needs to take ownership of his team.

What about Artest with 8? Is that going to happen again? Or Scola's 11? Landry's 2? Those 3 scored a combined 21 and we wiped the floor with the Lakers.

Agreed but do you really think Ron will go 4-19 again including 0-6 from 3? As bad as the Rockets beat down LA they still got killed by the guy who is supposed to be there go to guy now. Expect much more out of Ron in game 5 as well.

The point I was making as well. Ron absolutely killed the Rockets in game 4 and they still managed to put an arse whooping on LA

Nah I doubt Ron Ron will shoot that poorly again, nor do I think the Lakers can keep Von from exploding at least one game....but as far as Game 4 Ron, Wafer, Scola, and Landry didn't really need stellar games for the win, did they?

TT this isn't personal man, for the most part I completely agree with your analysis of this series so far.

No you're much more rational now than you were at the start of the series and I don't think either of us take offense.

It's just hard to comprehend how people can say the Rockets have no chance after the way the series has gone so far.

Rockets have to treat tonight like a game 7. If they come out flat you might be right although I still think Houston wins game 6 regardless of tonight

nah, i think they have definitly shown they aren't going to bow down to king kobe and the preseason crowned lakers. i think that's the artest factor breathing into this team.

anyone else feel artest should be involved in USA basketball, if anything at all to rough up and intimidate the softer european players?

I take absolutely nothing on this board personally. i've said it a million times, there would be no reason to get on TD.com if everyone agreed with each other. I enjoy the debate.

Lakers will win tonight but the Rockets have a good chance to win game 6 and then in a game 7 atmosphere anything could happen. Either way Houston is in good hands with Brook, Lowry, Artest and Battier for the future. Will just need to decide on Ming, McGrady, Scola, and Landry.

I wonder if Dallas would trade Nowitzki and Bass for Ming and Landry?
