Well and let's face it. Outside of Hard Knocks, Showtime is absolutely slaying HBO in terms of non-live sports programming. Part of it is HBO needing to get their shite back together in that department too.

Those are some awful headlines, and really gets at a terrible trend in writing today: everything is either the best or worst ever. Nothing can just BE. Or just be interesting for its own sake.

And then the articles have a strict wordcount limit, so they can't even make a decent argument that this thing is the most important thing ever. Awful website. Just awful.

I was excited about his show because of HBO's pull on getting good guests but the format was horrible and he tried to fit too many guests in. The Ringer is nothing more than a Buzzfeed ripoff

I'm not politically affiliated to any side per say so that doesn't affect me. What turned me off to Simmons is the constant Boston bias and deflate gate talk. I used to listen to his stuf religiously and now and honestly can't tell you the last time I've to a show

He is the softest interviewER in sports next to Mike and Mike

Who cares if you get these big names if you won't ask them interesting questions

Even on his podcast when he gets guests he just spends all the time jerking them off and just telling them how right they are. He will completely change a point of view of his if his guests have a different opinion

Like he could get roger goodell and Bill would be like "lets welcome the greatest commish in sports! A lot of people give him shite but I think you've been under so much pressure that people don't see! You were totally right on deflategate too, I know I've said other wise but now that you're in my face I think I've changed my mind"

I completely agree it is shite, I loved grant land (for the most part) but I glance over at the ringer when bored about once a week or so and there's just nothing there that interest me (and so much damn politics)

I still listen to his podcasts but they aren't as good as they used to be and miss his sports writing a ton
