The committee clearly prioritized winning your conference championship. They looked at the champs of the Big 5 and picked who they thought were the 4 best. FSU was their #5. You gotta feel for FSU, but it isn't exact and teams often feel robbed.
Bama's strength of schedule was #3 in the NCAA and they just beat Georgia. We'll see if the bowls and playoffs support or refute the committee's decision.

Why?? This is so arbitrary. Are you saying that all conferences are equal? Is going undefeated in the ACC more impressive than placing 2nd in the SEC?

That’s not the point. FSU was already ranked at 3 then won their division with a 3rd string guy and were getting there 2nd QB back.
The question is would they have done this to Bama.

There is a good argument for FSU getting the 3 or 4 slot. Personally, I have Bama at #6, but the committee saw it differently and clearly thinks FSU is 5th among the Power 5 conference champs and they whimpered to a win saturday against what looked like a very average at best Louisville team.
