Green Bay hasn’t drafted a WR or RB in the first round since Rodgers has been the starting QB
I checked, it's been since 2002. Javon Walker. 19 drafts without a skill position player going in the 1st.
They did draft Bubba Franks #14 overall in 2000, which is equally as nuts.

Looks like LaFleur is committed to making Green Bay the Titans of the NFC North. Run game, OL, and defense.

I don't think Rodgers is, his arm strength is dying on him.

I'm fine with the draft
It either works out and Love turns into our QB of the future or it doesn't and we fire everyone and restart.
Hopefully Love does turn out to be a good QB. I just wish we would've gotten Shenault or Duvernay.

Anyone else feel like taking Love was kind of a childish way for Lefleur to assert his “dominance” over Rodgers?
How the frick can you make that pick after you were so close and your biggest need is WR / TE?

Vast majority of Packers fans are upset with the pick and wanted to go all in to try and win one more with Rodgers.

Alot of people will use the argument that we went 13-3 and were one win away from a Superbowl, but it's way more then that. I watched majority of our games last year and we were super lucky to even be in the NFC Championship. (The ones I could catch on Livestream/tv)
Even if we got more weapons for Rodgers, I doubt we would've made a push with how weak our run defense was.
I think by the time we would've gotten a whole set of weapons and an upgraded run defense, it would've been too late with Rodgers.

They got absolutely smashed by runs straight up the middle last year. They really needed to address that. Queen was available. A receiver in the 2nd would have been ok. It was a disaster as they picked backups. Love won't play for 3 years, Dillon won't start ever, and the TE/FB thing sounds like they want to change the whole offense. The problem has been the defense for a long time.

For a team that had mine picks, that to me looks like the worst draft ever. Esp for a team that was one win from the SB that was lucky to even win 8 games. I have watched the draft for almost 50 years and I've never seen anything like it without any major trades

the AJ Dillon pick was okay.
now they have a good duo Aaron Jones/Dillon
but other than that, yeah it mostly a heap of crap what they did.

If I am Rogers I ask for a trade right now. I'm am sure that there are teams that have assets to make this happen. And it's not because of Jorden love. It's because they really dropped the ball by not getting him any help he needs now.

Wait, it gets even worse : reported Packers UDFA Signings
Henry Black (S, Baylor)
Travis Bruffy (OL, Texas Tech)
Jordan Jones (H-back, Prairie View)
Willington Previlon (DL, Rutgers)
Darrell Stewart (WR, Michigan State)
Krys Barnes (LB, UCLA)
Tipa Galeai (EDGE, Utah State)
Will Sunderland, Jr. (DB, Troy)
Patrick Taylor (RB, Memphis)
Stanford Samuels (CB, Florida State)
Zack Johnson (OL, North Dakota State)
Marc-Antoine Dequoy (S, University of Montreal)
WE GOT OUR WR!!!
Unfrickingbelievable.

They are not winning a Super Bowl with the team last year unless SF's bus gets lost on the way to the inevitable playoff game with them.

i lived in sf back in my hippie commune days. i get them on "local" tv in my mt home now.
i have to tell you -
garrapolo is no sure thing.
its all too much for him.
he reminds me of mettenberger when protection fades. a strip sack waiting to happen.
he got some bad advice at eastern illinois. thinks he should stand in no matter what.
take Rodgers and the points.

He’s a little better than Trent Folgers.
