Yes I believe in a so called free, capitalist society players should be allowed to get paid their worth as long as others are willing to pay them. Yes it’s fair to pay the players 100,000+ pay $100+ for tickets to see play and TV networks pay billions to broadcast the games. if coaches get $50M to not coach there’s enough to pay players. No one ever said it wouldn’t change anything that’s not my concern,

“Black Monday” is a media created nick name for the first Monday after the season ends because so many coaches of teams not in the playoffs get fired that day. College coaches used to typically be fired that weekend after the season ended. However since the primary NSD was moved to Dec from early February firings have been moved up. Simply going back to that would end the situations like Lane Kiffin leaving before the playoff.

StringedInstruments: NCAA has many problems and NIL (IMO) is the biggest one. These “collegiate Athletes” they are not, just simply hired to play. Thats what professionals are called. If you want to pay player, create a new league and do it but strip away the college logos!

The only way to "fix" it to try their damndest to get it back to where it was 20 or so years ago.
I used to be the biggest playoff proponent but I readily admit I was wrong. CFB was unique because it DIDN'T do what every other sport does.
It may have been quirky, unfair, and at times seem like it didn't make sense at all, but it was entertaining as hell.
