So Rory now has the best swing AND putting stroke anybody's ever seen?

To hear Miller explain it a minute ago makes more sense to me. He said that players have 2 ways to attack the pins with the way they can land it behind the hole and spin it back. I don't care how soft the ground is, you just can't have a back stop at a US Open. YE Yang just hit a hybrid and the commentators thought is was about to back up to the hole. Last year at Pebble Beach players couldn't get a sand wedge to stop on the green at the par 5 on the back 9, much less get it to back up.

More important than the shots he's making, I like his focus. He's into it.

That last shot reflected his mind set. Play it safe, be smart.

Center of the greens all day long. No way he loses if he aims at the center, or the safe side, all day. He can go for birdie on the par 5's, or the short par 4 on #8, but the rest of the time he just needs to hit the center of the green and 2 putt for par.

Even his mishits are finding the fairway.

Plus don't forget the fairways are not rolling out either. With them being soft you don't see that first big bounce that could put you in the rough.
The main mistake the USGA made this week was moving the tees forward in wet conditions. Move the tees back and make them play the full length of the course.

Not sure that you can call that a mishit. The fairway is probably about the width of a 3 lane interstate, and just being slightly off line can find the rough 300 yards away. If you want to see a mishit, watch Phil Mickelson's drives.

Rory with a 4 footer for birdie

The USGA white shirts can try and spin this all they want. He is kicking their asses.
The fairways at Olympic next year will probably be 10' wide and the rough 8" deep.
