He's 24 years old, this was his first season in the NHL playing over 60 games, and his line isn't changing. You are pretty stupid if you think Neal isn't going to put up similar numbers alongside Malkin again next year on a #2 line than he did last year on the #1 line. Again, weaker lines and weaker pairings for that line this year.

since you were born good grief, any connection to pittsburgh? if no then bandwagon

You make me laugh, you don't have to be from an area to be a fan, so I'm done with you, bandwagoner.

Oh, I'm a Raiders fan too, and was a Sonics fan as a kid.

ok so as a kid you start liking a team who ran off back to back cups so its much easier to like them then your local team that sucks.

No, I'm only 23 I didn't really get into/understand hockey until I was probably 10 or so.

My prime was Mario retiring, 2nd bankruptcy, multiple losing seasons, Mario retiring again, and then building through the draft to what they are today.

I hate the Rams, and they were winning a Super Bowl and a power. Hate the Chiefs more, but that's the Raider side of me.

I'm an OKC fan now, I was okay with the move after a little while.

There's confirmation from the Suter camp that, despite suggestions to the contrary, the Penguins have, in fact, submitted a contract offer.

you mean tanking infront of empty arenas such good fans

drafting 1 or 2 for 5 years is not building in the draft

I always love when people say this.

It's the same thing in every sport, you suck, you get the top pick, if you pick right, you build and get better.

How many top picks have the Detroit Lions had? Would you say the same thing to their fans if they had actually made good picks most of those years?

Pretty much, 2007 #2, 2009 #1, 2010 #2...the only year they didn't have a Top pick was when they made a trade with KC with their #5 pick.

a better anology is the thunder b/c the draft way more bust in the football top 10 than hockey. Most top 10 picks in hockey make a instant impact

the caps have done a fantastic job in the draft since taking Ovie just about every pick has panned out.

Well I didn't want to use the NBA as an example because it's the only lottery system.

Mostly true, but the drafts the last few years have been pretty weak, especially this year, and Tavares hasn't been a #1 pick either.

The Penguins got lucky the drafts were loaded when they had the high picks, because if it was the last few drafts, they would still suck about as bad.

Likely to be mid/late afternoon before Parise makes/announces decision. He has much to sort thru...Suter likely to come in after Parise.

Of the "small select group" on Parise's list including #mnwild, Parise will talk to each team again today. This could take some time #nhl

Since it seems that Detroit is pretty much out of the running for Parise I have to agree.
