ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the Broncos are in "serious talks" with free agent Wes Welker, and are "trying to hammer out an agreement." Per Schefter, a resolution is expected Wednesday. It's possible it's a leverage ploy from an increasingly restless Welker camp, but it would be an act of war in the Peyton Manning/Tom Brady rivalry if true. The move would be damaging to both Welker and Eric Decker's fantasy value, but a huge boon for a team with a Super Bowl or bust mentality. No team would have a better receiver corps than Denver if Welker headed west. Manning would be even more impossible to defend.
VerlanderBeast still claims John Elway is trying to ruin Peyton Manning's legacy.

@AdamSchefter: Interesting little factoid as New England and Denver are on standby: Wes Welker was married last June...in Aspen, Colorado.

Unless it's a massive troll job, he is Denver bound.

Don't forget the talent in draft they could go after.

With all the cash Denver has right now, I don't expect the Patriots to match the offer.

Broncos signed LB Stewart Bradley, formerly of the Cardinals, to a one-year contract. Bradley was released by Arizona two weeks ago, and Denver was his only free-agent visit. He's expected to compete with Nate Irving and, to a degree, Steven Johnson for the starting middle linebacker job. Bradley turns 30 in November, and his signing likely means Joe Mays will be released.
