Looking at the top 11 players, I see 15 major victories and 5 green jackets. Boom Boom has a green jacket. Guess who has the other 4 green jackets and 14 majors?
These young pups are good, but as many on this board will attest, there's a hell of a difference between being in contention at Houston on the weekend and being in contention in a major, particularly the Masters.
Going to be one hell of a weekend.

Exactly, if Tiger continues his great play it will make for an exciting weekend. I Hope Freddy can stay in it!!!!

Should be interesting. He's had some great rounds since he's come back, but hasn't been able to string them together.
He was only two shots back going into the weekend at the last Masters and never got any closer. Had a phenomenal third round at last year's US Open then looked bad on Sunday. Shot a 67 to open last year's British, did not break 70 the rest of the tourney.

Exactly, yesterday he played with the confidence and focus I haven't seen from him in a long time. This is set up to be a great weekend; a lot of drama to be played out; and don't forget Freddy is in the mix.......

Did anyone just see the shot of all the people speed walking when they opened up the course?
That was awesome

if Freddy could putt worth a damn, I'd give him a great chance...he knows the course so well.

Peej --- agree --- this thing can swing to any of the top 15 players!! KJ is due..

Obi ---
and if his back holds up; I'm rooting for him but not not sure he can hold up for 72 holes.

True, but listening to some of the pundits, they seem to think he sandbags that a bit. And they don't say that in a malicious way...more of a Lou Holtz-like poor mouthing routine, just before he goes out and plays lights out.

I wish they would cover the front nine on Masters Live CBSonline
Don't they know I'm bored at work

How would that set the day up if Freddy goes low???

he's got enough length...if he can take advantage of the par 5s, he's got a shot.

You may be on to something PJ. Choi played shot for shot in all four rounds with the great Woods last year. I feel terrible for him 3 putting from 8 feet on 18 yesterday. He'll bounce back though and play solid.
Will be interested to see if McIlroy, Day, and Fowler can keep their poise, take what the course gives them with the tougher pin locations and not the let stage get to them. I would also not count out guys like Ogilvy and Westwood who crept up yesterday as well. WIDE OPEN!
Today is the day to make your move boys.

Well Fowler is playing with Couples. VERY INTERESTING.

I think its an advantage for Day and McIlroy to keep playing together. the had a great groove going and are both young guys. there will be no mind games going on in that pairing.
But, the great Woods is playing right in front of them and they will hear the crowds ejaculating every time he farts, so it will be fun to see how they handle it. different atmosphere on the weekends.
