I've played on the grass courts down in san destin.... did not like
ball came like a foot off the ground. we weren't pounding it with the spin these guys put on it though

well I kind of said. It wasn't really footwork I had a problem on playing on the grass it was the way the ball came off the court.
came like a foot off most times and it just really seemed to "slip" off the crass making the shot faster than it really was, if that makes sense.
it was very deceiving.
edit: but I had never played on grass before that or after so...
I never played in any junior tournaments that were major enough to play regularly on grass
