He is my favorite player but lets face it, he was at the tail end of his career. He fell asleep during games and unceremoniously retired with little fanfare because of the distraction he became.

Dwight is still the best center in the NBA.

Congratulations. I'm sure you were also one of the people who harped on how Wade was done last year, and he turned this year into one of his best, most productive seasons. But please continue seeing your "obvious" observations. Also, he's 31. Nobody is saying he's going to be a top 5 player into his 34 year old season. But to speak with such clarity you that you know exactly what is going to happen and how that will affect the Heat is foolish.
He can't stay healthy anymore. It's always some knee ailment he's fighting through. As an esteemed poster said, he relies on athleticism, and his is circling the drain. I personally think it has to do with the way he spent his first 10 years in the league constantly falling to the floor and the accumulative impact of it.
Ultimately, it doesn't matter how good/efficient his regular seasons are if he can't be D-Wade in the post season.
I don't know what LBJ does, but the heat have to do something about wade if they want Lebron to stay. Can't pay an almost max deal for someone so unreliable. And if LBJ goes to the LAL, it will be the most difficult moral delemma for me: my fave playa vs my most loathed franchise. I pray I don't have to choose.

I don't see it happening. He caught so much hell for leaving Ohio, for dream teaming, just can't see him going to the NBA's alltime big free agent/megatrade franchise.
Dr Buss is now gone, just don't see Lakers in the same light.
Think Lebron stays in Miami, and/or returns to Cleveland, or maybe even Chicago/NYK/Brooklyn later in his career?

He's got probably three years left, but even as he declines, Bosh is still playing well when he gets the chance. If he becomes more featured and Wade, his jumper is gonna keep going down, and he can work down low a bit too, and he's a good FT shooter if he gets to the line.

We all know he chooses the path of least resistance to winning championships.
Not too many players choose the path of most resistance, MJ had no qualms whatsoever adding Rodman greatest rebounder of all time.
