From Mort:

Sean Payton said it will take a lot to get Brandin Cooks. Sources say they still want quality defensive starter, plus draft picks over 2 yrs

Butler, a 2nd this year and a 4th next year seems like a Fair deal for Cooks

Maybe. But the Pats would never do that.

What do you think the Pats would do?

I would have placed the blame on the defense.

Why? The defense played a damn good game, especially given the offense was doing nothing for 3 quarters.

Saints and Browns were apparently the current frontrunners for Zeitler, and the Browns literally just re-signed a Guard to a pretty big contract.

Could be an indication that the Saints will get Zeitler. Would be a big get for them since they had a gaping hole at RG.

Dude I don't know. I'm pretty irritated that, if that trade does happen, we basically fricked over Butler. He's a top 5 type CB in the league, and if this trade goes down, we paid mehhh CB1 massive money just to get rid of a fantastic homegrown talent.

It would remind me the Seymour trade, except Seymour was kinda being an arse in the media.

Glennon deal is 3/45 with 19 guaranteed so it's a one year experiment

Buffalo Bills WR Robert Woods to sign 5 year $39M deal with the L.A. Rams according to ESPN's Adam Schefter (via Twitter).

We still don't know enough about Robert Woods. He was in a run first offense in Buffalo.

Apparently somebody in the LA Rams front office thinks they know enough to splash out $15M guaranteed over 2 years of that 5 year contract.

He could wash out after two seasons and laugh all the way to the bank.

Personally, I think his age has something to do with him getting that type of money (He's only 24) the other wideouts in FA this year are kind of old imho. Also, this isn't the greatest rookie receiving year.

I still don't get the point in paying a guy like Glennon that kind of money given what he's already shown us so far during his NFL career. Why not shoot for a guy like Hoyer or Fitzpatrick if you really want a stop gap QB.

@mortreport
Kirk Cousins appealed personally to owner Dan Snyder for a trade but was basically told not to get his hopes up, per sources.
