We saw it during LSU/Bama last night, it was Bama’s 2nd TD.

52 Minute Mark

Entire Bama side are set, and turn to change the play. LSU responds with a Defensive play change, Ball snapped while everyone is looking over at both sides, Tua has it launched and his receiver is past the LSU back before they even realize the play started, and they score.

We used to do a similar play in high school, it's not new.

Delpit is a terrible safety.

It’s not going to work if people do it over and over

Weird feeling that Bama felt the need to run a trick play against LSU
(Props to them for pulling it off though.)

It's not need but opportunity. Same with their onside kick against Clemson in the title game a couple years back. They saw an exploitable tendency in our scheme and dialed it up.
