The new Pac 12 could be in trouble

After being turned down by AAC schools (Memphis, Tulane, USF), UNLV has said no thanks. Not sure where they go from here unless they go grab some C-USA schools like UTEP and New Mexico State

The PAC 12 and MW now each have 7 football members so merging the conferences seems like the smart move for the long-term but I guess finding a compromise would be too difficult.

That would be like asking the SEC and the Sun Belt to compromise… maybe not that extreme but if OSU and WSU wanted the MWC they’d be there…
In other words the MWC teams that jumped specifically wanted to leave others behind. OSU and WSU didn’t want to be in a conference with them at all
