A degree from a HBCU is next to worthless. A FOOTBALL TICKET to a HBCU game is completely worthless. Need to just close them down or be honest and recognize them as the bottom tier academic and athletic centers that they are

not intricately familiar with SUNO since I'm not from there, but....haven't heard too many good things. I'll just put that nicely. It's a shame.
4% graduation rate. And UNO has a lot of commuter students/adults going back to school so they can accommodate SUNO students.
SUNO exists so Bill Jefferson's relatives can have cushy jobs.

This is pretty fricking racist. I have a degree from an HBCU and I’m doing just fine. 93% of the people I work with have a degree from a HBCU as well.
Your backwards opinion doesn’t mean shite.
A HBCU footba ticket is worthless, yet the SWAC has been leading the FCS in attendance for a good number of years.
Stop posting here and go log on to storm front.

They won the conference last year. Odums has the Jags rolling. You’ll be fine.
Close SUNO, though.

What is even the point in having a team for only 3 home games. Sounds terrible

He and Pierre envision a non-traditional setting perhaps in downtown Shreveport, where Southern already has a presence. They said the law school could serve students at night and on weekends and perhaps in some circumstances virtually.
So not a traditional law school, but another one people can sink their money into and not pass the bar.
To each their own.

As pointed out before, this is a likely scenario for any FCS school that plays FBS schools in non conference schedule.

La Has a ridiculous amount of schools for it population, especially when you consider how little we really care about education. But it’s a patronage thing now, no Congressman is going to vote to close a redundant program in their districts. Hell the USL crowd wants to expand even more!

I teach in South Atlanta. It's a majority black area.
Just like northern Atlanta is majority white, and certain sides of other sides are dominated by one race.

You mad? You’re really going to compare a HBCU degree with a an actual education from a real university? Really?

This. HBCU's were at one time very needed as they were created to educate blacks in the Jim Crow Segregation era when other University's would not accept them & they did great things.
In today's world most lower tier HBCU's(notice that I said LOWER TIER) are now basically the WNBA in that they are a low quality product being subsidized due to political correctness & the fear of politicians that they will be labeled racist & lose their job if they even bring up the possibility of consolidating or closing these schools.

Yeah there’s way too many schools
No need for ULM, LA Tech, and Grambling all ran separately when there’s are 30 miles away

I don't know where this started at. I've seen it repeated here many times but it's not based on any sort of facts. Louisiana isn't even close to the top as far as number of schools relative to its population. Giving people more options to access an education is never a bad thing. Also this notion that any degree from any university is worthless is a total lie. Most employers could give a shite less where you went to school.
