That kind of offense can only work for so long before real teams like Chicago/San Antonio shut you down.

Because the Bulls have been so awesome against the heat, regular season or postseason.

I hope they never win one. The bandwagon fans down here are already unbearable.

Their ceiling is higher than anyone else's. When they were playing their best ball earlier this year, they looked absolutely unstoppable.

I think they put it all together and win a title this year.

I think Oklahoma City is the only team that could strip it from them. But, like I said in my previous post, I think that series would go to a game 7 where anyone could win.

Miami might possibly have the worst half court set offense in all of basketball behind Charlotte

As of maybe 2 or so weeks ago, Miami ranked 1st in halfcourt efficiency, according to Haberstroh.

Say what you want or what it looks like, that was the facts, what was actually happened, not what it looked like.

Also, the real issue is their defense right now. If they don't win, it'll probably be because of their defense.

Which one of those players, Bron and wade, isn't one of the best offensive players in the league?

I was wondering about that myself. Klark isn't exactly known for his rational posts in these threads though

You have no idea what you're talking about. Miami's half court offense is a Top 5 half court offense in the league. Of their total possessions 11% are isolations. For comparison the Spurs run 8% iso, and the Thunder run 14% of their plays as isolation. So I'll be waiting for your thread that says the Thunder can't win the title because they're too reliant on their athleticism. (waiting...)

Synergy Here type in all the teams you want and look at their points per possession and percentage of plays run using those sets. Miami is just as good in the half court as anyone in the league. In fact their transition points per possession ranks just 13th in the league.

Hell, this thread is even more stupid when we look at last nights game against the Celtics. The Heat put up an offensive efficiency of 117 against a team that only allows 95 points in 100 possessions. And the Heat only scored 8! points in transition. That means almost all of that was half court offense against one of the best defenses in the league.

But facts be damned! The Heat suck in the half court.

Now, it's not going to come true!

Boston has a good argument because of the shortened season [but its only 16 games], but not getting a bye hurts them. Obviously, Chicago is in the mix.

I'll be rooting for OKC to win it all.

I don't know about the "toying" part, but I think we'll all see a different Miami Heat team come playoffs. That's to be expected. With that said, wasn't this the same team that was supposed to win it all last year? They won't cakewalk there way to the finals. Chicago will give them a tough test and I'm not so sure they can beat the Thunder.
