It's either or the names are interchangeable.

That's in order.

Take this for order:

The laughing was really directed at him putting Harden over Kawhi. That's just stupid.

Personally I put Kawhi over Curry because Kawhi's defense is as elite as Curry's offense, and Kawhi's offense is better than Curry's defense.

But they're not equal. Elite offense is wayyyy more valuable than elite defense.

Too bad elite offense is a lot more valuable than elite defense.

Spurs d was better when kawhi was off the court than on. You will never ever find that same scenario for an elite offensive player.

Mmm, disagree.

Also, Boom agrees with you, which greatly undermines your point

Anyone in their right mind would take IT4 over Tony Allen, assuming equal contracts and what not. And IT4 is arguably the worst defensive player in the league.

Another way to look at it. Look at all the best 10-15 players in the league. They all have 1 thing in common, none are liabilities on offense, or below average at offense. Can't say the same about them all being good at defense.

That's a good point. Team defense can mask otherwise average defenders. You won't see that with offensive numbers.

elite defense is only good for regular season success. who wants to follow a boring team that only wins 60 games a year for 2 decades?

You do realize I wasn't talking about team defense, right?

And I'd like to add that rim defense is a lot more valuable than perimeter D. Guys like pat bev, tony allen, etc are known as some of the top def players in the league. Yet their salary is paltry. How come? Well Bc the GMs know what shel and I have figured out. Perimeter D, even elite level, is just not nearly as valuable a skill as offense.

That's the dumbest thing I've ever read.
