how often do you scour MSU message boards looking for these threads?

not sure if you realized this but there are a few more LSU fans than MSU fans on this site. That may or may not have something to do with it.

No I'm not

Russell Sheppard is a guy who had opportunity but not as much as he would have had elsewhere.

His fault, not LSU's. He wasn't an elite QB, he wasn't an elite Rb, and he wasn't and elite WR. LSU got him because they gave him a shot at QB, when Texas didn't. He got his shot, and showed why he wasn't projected to play QB in college. He moved to WR halfway through his freshmen season and was mediocre at best.

quote:

So much wasted talent at LSU because of the quarterback and coaching situation.

Happens, but Sheppard failing isnt because of LSU's QB problems. He's an elite athlete..just not elite at any particular position.

quote:

Pete Carrol played the best and he didn't care who it was. Also, USC has had a very stable if not downright exceptional QB situation going on 12 years.

Have you seen the True freshmen, rs freshmen, and sophomores starting for the LSU the past 5 years? Are you insinuating Les doesn't play the best players?

are you deliberately being stupid. The point of that remark is that joe mcknight sucked balls in CFB, so why the obsession?

You think this thread was miracioulsy thought up by the OP out of the blue? No, it was because he was cut and he's trying to make a discussion. If one idiot makes the entire LSU fan base pathetic, than you make the Tulane fan base just as pathetic.

I'll let the kid start, but yeah I do not expect that streak to continue. HOWEVER,

Palmer through barkley is ridiculous consistency at the most important position.

Proven with JJ over JL. I think at the RB and QB position, yes he does not start the best players. Granted LSU had an embarrassment of riches at RB over the years, but that also makes jacob hester's featured role more of an enigma to me.

do these threads get started here often? you seem really angry about it, are you mad joe mcknight was mediocre and your're not able to rub it in to the LSU fans or something?

You claim the rant is obsessed with him and I haven't seen a thread about him on the rant in years.

I'm stupid? you're the idiot trying to compare the largest LSU message board on the net to the MSU fanpage on TD which consists of about 10 posters on a busy day.

Where are every single one of those QB's from?

You act like LSU has an even playing field regarding home state talent at QB

I'm not discussing LSU. It's just great consistency for USC. I think that makes it more attractive for offensive talent.

This proves how dumb you are. Neither JJ nor JL were top notched. They had different skill sets which made each serviceable, at best.

I honestly don't give a shite that he went to SC, but am I the only one that thinks his SC career was better than mediocre?

347 carries, 2213 yards, 13 rushing TDs, 6.4 YPC

66 receptions, 542 yards, 8.2 YPC, 2 receiving TDs

omg. how fricking dumb are you? I don't even want to discuss LSU, someone else started doing that. JL had an undefeated team and miles started JJ, that's not starting your best player. I was asked and I answered. The only way that makes me dumb is the notion that JJ was just infinitely better than JL, which he was not,

is this what we're doing? Is this an LSU discussion or a joe mcknight discussion. Because he went to USC.

Oh I gotcha..you were at every practice and saw them compete against each other.

You think it's the best RB on the bench. Les things it's the best RB that fits his style of play in the huddle. Keiland was an amazing back, but he couldn't have taken the beatings that Hester, Scott, and Ridley took. That's why they were starters.

You made it an LSU discussion by bashing Les, Russell Sheppards development, and by saying he plays favorites.

Joe McKnight wasn't even a great college player, so the fixation does not make sense.

There's an old saying that the same people you pass on the way up, you also pass on the way down.

It makes sense if you followed his recruiting. He thumbed his nose at LSU in favor of USC at a time when LSU was still in USC's shadow in the media. The way he handled it made people dislike him. (not just because he chose another school, but because of the way he did it). I still remember Cowherd gloating about how USC came into LSU's backyard and stole our best player, and that's why we'll never be on their level, blah, blah, blah. And we already hated USC over the 2003 AP rankings,
So now that his career was prety much a bust (by #1 HS recruit standards) and USC is pretty much a bust these days, you cant blame LSU fans for enjoying it just a little.
