Just tell the guys in the pro shop that you're looking for a game, and they can find you a good group. My suggestion is to start playing in the Wednesday 5:30 skins game.
Friday there is the lunch bunch.
I play in those groups occasionally.
Good thing about Oakbourne is that everyone there is so nice and open to allowing new players in their game.

81 today in the first round of the club championship. I had 4 3-putts and another birdie go down in the hole and out. Chased pins early on and left myself with really difficult putts. Gonna go low tomorrow

Just got done at LSU. Shot a 93, which is my low round since coming back to the game.
The rain wasn't too bad, had to stop for 10 minutes after #9. Fairways were freshly mowed.

Shot a 77 with 3 doubles in the last round of the club championship to finish in 4th place in my flight. Hopefully I will have a better showing this weekend in the Slidell city championship.

The dude in the shop said at least three weeks. The reason why they never moved the tee box is because the front set of tees is very uneven.
They're basically ripping up all of the grass and starting over. Hopefully they get new range balls too. Those orlimar ones don't have dimples anymore.
