If you think the Final Four teams this year were the four best teams in the country, you're nuts. UCONN, the national champion, was average in the Big East. ND, Pitt, Ville... all were better.

Ok how many times have the four BEST teams EVER been in one final four. BTW IF ND or Ohio State would have won the title, YOU would think that March Madness was the greatest thing on earth. FACE IT.

actually, as much as I like basketball, I think the meat grinder is a happy alternative to watching a 36-32 game or whatever.

Not at all. In fact, there have been times (such as this past year) where OSU football's been hurt by the fact there wasn't a playoff, but I'm perfectly fine with the system as is. It's fair and makes for the most entertainment.
