The ST. LOUIS Rams and Tennessee Titans played in the first Super Bowl that was shown in HDTV.

I was one of the first people in the country with an HDTV tuner. Back then I worked for a manufacturer that was instrumental in the development of the HDTV 8VSB over-the-air TV signal. I had borrowed two high resolution videos projectors from a commercial audio visual company ran by a golfing buddy, and he set up the sound and cabling. We had the game on my garage door and on a 120" screen in the house, and I had a huge Super Bowl party. Nobody has seen HDTV before then and when it came on everyone was blown away by how clear it was. That was in 2000, and here we are now using 4K streaming for the Super Bowls.
