Max Fried is named opening day starter on next Thursday. Well deserved.

Joke is on you, San Diego.

Breaking: Nate Jones and Ehire Adrianza will make the opening day roster.

Bryse Wilson optioned. Braves will do a bullpen game in the first rotation and re-evaluate afterwards.

Abraham Almonte was outrighted to the training site, and Touki is now on the 60-day IL

Also, Snit clarified why Webb was optioned. Basically said he earned a job but has options left unlike Jackson and Dayton. Says he will be a big piece later in the season.

Sandoval makes the opening day roster. Kipnis and Jake Lamb were released.

Wow.

Can’t Adrianza play every position in the infield in addition to RF and LF? It’ll be interesting to see the pecking order at 3B.

Yeah he's very versatile. Camargo got optioned today for that reason.

Sandoval is fat as shite but can still play adequate 3B in spot starts. He would likely be next man up over there.

Freddie can play 3B in case of emergency. He did it for a bit in 2017 so we could keep Matt Adams in the lineup and wasn't bad at it. I'm guessing this would only happen if Riley, Sandoval, and Camargo, and Adrianza weren't available for some reason.

He was actually drafted as a 3B'man.

I’m confused. Nate Jones, Luke Jackson, and Ynoa are all making the Opening Day roster? That makes 14 pitchers. What happened to the 13 pitcher limit?

No 13 pitcher limit this year.

Amazing how far medical science has come. Achilles injuries used to be a 2yr.turnaround.

What do y’all make of the Lindor/Mets situation?

I don’t like him being in the division, but 12 years, $385 million is overpaying IMO. I kinda hope they sign him now.

I mean, he’ll be 40 when his contract runs out.

That's an extreme overpay for a player at a position that isn't exactly known for aging gracefully. He's a great player, but at 27, I don't think I'd offer him anything longer than 7 years. Anything beyond that and they'll be feeling some serious buyer's remorse.

Soroka on the mound, just struck out the first hitter he faced on three pitches.

Soroka gave up a homer today but overall looked great, all things considered. His curveball looked sharp.
