No way man. Jurrjens is done. We can probably find someone to trade Hanson to, and he will either turn it around with a new pitching coach or be out of baseball in a couple of years. Time to cut bait with both of them. Crazy the difference a couple of years makes.

That infield fly call was one of the most frustrating things ive ever witnessed. By no means do I think that is the reason we lost but I have honestly never seen a call as bad as that one in baseball. Yea umpires make bad balls/strike calls and occasionally frick up a safe/out but never something this bad.

When I get to a comp I will type out a more detailed description of the atmospher at the Ted while that was going on but I'm not sure I could give it justice. Everyone was stunned.

Is there ANY chance we can get rid of Uggla or trade for a 2B or promote from within? I can't handle another season of that crap at second base

Only if we eat 3/4 of his salary.

The game ended when Fredi called a bunt with 1st and 3rd and 1 out and Medlen on deck. Freeman didn't even run on the bunt.

ETA: ROSS BUNTED THE PLAY BEFORE. GOD DAMMIT

I still have a hard time believing Fredi called a safety squeeze there. I think Andrelton more than likely did that on his own and Fredi covered for him.

Wouldn't be the first time this year that Andrelton laid down a bunt on his own at an inopportune time.

You and me both.

Just sucks that our shittiest game we've played all year comes at this time.

Same. I hate Fredi, but he was covering for Simmons there. Freddie wasn't even running.

I think that is what most likely happened. Fredi is pretty damn dumb but I refuse to believe he is that stupid.

I don't even know why I got my hopes up tonight, I knew this shite would happen.

What's the Braves rotation next year?

I know Medlen and Hudson 1-2 with Minor I'd imagine 3, but what beyond that?

Correct me if wrong or resigned but aren't Maholm, Hanson, and Jurrjens free agents to be?

Jurrjens is done. We have Maholm for one more year. Hanson is under team control for 2 more years, but is likely going to be traded.

ETA: By "likely going to be traded" I mean I fricking hope he gets traded.

Maholm has an option for 5.5M next year so he'll be back.

Hanson will just be arbitration eligible for the first time next year so the Braves still have control over him for the next three years. They will probably try to move him this offseason though.

Jurrjens will not be tendered a contract so he'll be gone.

So it's:

Medlen
Huddy
Minor
Maholm
Hanson or Delgado

Beachy will be back sometime in the back end of the season.

Atmosphere at the Ted tonight was unlike anything I've ever seen in sports. The 19 minutes after that Holbrook call were almost indescribeable.

Is it possible McCann's club option doesn't get picked up?

$12 million, $500K buyout.

Unlikely I would think? But he was on the bench tonight, $12 million is really high to be on the bench in the most important game of the season.
